So He said, “I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there”. Genesis 46.3

When the Lord presented Himself to Jacob, He revealed His true nature – God, He who is Almighty, unlimited, and at the same time, holy and merciful. The Most High does not deal with us according to our weaknesses (Ps 103.10), but according to His love and power. We must know Him as He is, not only receiving information about Him. He is all that we need in order to be successful.

Isaac was born as a special work done by the Lord. Not only because he was the son of an elder couple (Gen 21.1,2), but also because God desired that the Savior of the world would descend from Abraham. You are also a special work, for if it were not for God’s care in the way that your pregnancy happened, you would not be here. It is not necessary to know what He had in mind when He allowed your existence; you only need to believe in Him.

e are not a product of luck; we have something important to fulfill in the divine work. We have been included in the Covenant established by the Lord through Jesus’ blood. Therefore, do not diminish yourself, for you are part of the divine plan, chosen by the Sovereign One. Abandon sin and let yourself be led by the Holy Spirit.

After the miracle of Isaac’s birth, the Lord made a Covenant with him. Since Jacob knew about this, he went to the same place where his father met the Creator, and there he sacrificed to Him. When he opened his heart, God gave him visions, showing him that He would strengthen him and lead him to Egypt. Though he was old, he undertook a long journey and moved to a new land, for this was part of the divine purpose in his life. Do not hinder yourself, but joyfully fulfill God’s will.

The order was to descend to Egypt without fear, for the Lord’s plan included staying and living there until Jacob died. The servant of God feared going to that country because that was the place where his grandfather almost lost his wife, and after a great famine on earth, the Most High prohibited Isaac to go there. However, when Jacob consulted the Lord, he received the order to go towards the land of Pharaoh.

There were 66 people, without counting the women and children. Afterwards, when they returned to Canaan, there were more than 3 million people. What is important is that the Savior would be born from that family. Only the Lord knows what He planned for his seed. However, we must be strong and not submit to temptations, for the devil will do everything he can to drive you away from eternal salvation. Maintain your focus in the Word of God, for your own good.

The redemption plan for mankind has not yet been completed. Thus, do not be discouraged or deceived with any opportunity of illicit riches or any other sin. Understand that you have been saved, and believe that the Father has not done wrong in calling you.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Beloved father! Your plan was that Jacob should fulfill Your will, therefore the tears that he poured in Your presence were not in vain. The pain that he felt when he was informed that his beloved son had been killed by a beast was a preparation of his training.

How much suffering have we gone through? Some problems created scars in us, and now, we can say that they were part of the lessons that we had to go through to be useful in Your hands.

Where do you want us to go? What are Your orders? We aim to do Your beautiful and holy will. Do not let us fall in temptation, for certainly, our greatest desire is to be used by You.
