23/11/2017 - IN THE DESERT OR IN GOD’S PRESENCE

For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited.  Jeremiah 17:6

When God declared man who trusts in man to be cursed (Jeremiah 17:5), He was very serious and due to this we must examine and verify if we have trusted in something our neighbor has said and confess this error to the Almighty. This can bond us to suffering even when we feel secure in our faith in the Lord.  According to James, the Truth was not given us in vain when he declared that the Spirit who lives in us is jealous. God knows that putting our trust in man will bring us deceptions.

Jeremiah compared those of us who place our trust in man, in doctrines or in any religion to the shrub in the desert that by existing in a hostile environment does not recognize the good when it comes.  Many live this way and year after year, do not perceive the good that God wants to do in, for and through them. They like to quote people like us and have nothing to offer from themselves to those who are thirsting or in need of light.

The Holy Spirit came to lead us in all Truth and to tell us what was said in Heaven concerning us. However, because we were not instructed in Truth we allow ourselves to be led by some notable’s “enlightened” word. Why exchange the Spirit of God’s work for the word from men who do not respect the biblical prescription, adding or subtracting from anything in the revelation. Those who sustain what these men say incur in the same error.

If you have been dwelling in dry places of the spiritual desert, get out of there. Your dwelling place must be in the shelter of the Most High (Psalm 91.1) – The Word.  Then you will be kept from all evil, protected from deception and taken by the Holy Spirit to taste and experience the best from God!  Don’t let the devil fill your mind with lies; with false ideas or thoughts that go against the Word.  Even though sincere, when you believe in them you exclude yourself from His Good.

Jeremiah’s words are all very serious.  Those who love the Lord need not live in parched and dry places, but in the fertile fields of divine grace.  The person who sees nothing wrong in not following the Bible, does not enjoy the good things provided us in Christ’s sacrifice and death. The body’s good health, the renewal of our mind’s understanding and the cleansing of the spirit belong to those who are believers.  Run back to the Almighty!

Be one more that will be registered as having served God!  The Bible relates the stories of many who served the Lord and succeeded in their days and this is a useful message for us, in order for us to surrender ourselves to the Omnipotent and participate in doing His work. Don’t be swept by modern days, by the temptations that bind and destroy too many of God’s saints.  Take up your beautiful position in Him: confessing your sins, receiving His forgiveness and starting to do according to the Father’s will.

Don’t be compared to just anyone, but only to Jesus who was approved by God with miracles, signs and wonders. The Lord wants to do this among us and through people like us. It was no accident or coincidence that I received the mission to write this message; it was a specific order.  Be sensitive and responsive to the Holy Spirit and turn back now before it is too late. Amen?

In Christ, with Love,

Merciful Father!  We can’t be like the shrub in the desert. You desire that we experience good in our lives. Like Jesus we must go in all places and deliver the oppressed from the devil. We desire to be approved and chosen by You.

We do not want to relinquish our lives that we have in You for a place in the spiritual desert.  Make us a servant in Your Spirit so that we may understand Your good will. We want to be what you want us to be. This way we will be approved with signs, wonders and miracles.  Halleluiah!

To live on parched and salted land must be terrible, but from the reports in Your word there are people living these conditions.  Now that You have made us know and understand Your will, we ask that You hear our prayer. Thank You for loving the weak. Amen!
