And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. Exodus 4.3

When Moses was being prepared, the Lord showed the effective way in which He does His work. Since Moses was reluctant, saying that people would not believe him, the Most High showed him His capacity to operate in any situation and with an incredible speed. If in a fraction of a second God gave life to a dry rod (Numbers 17:8), why won’t He do the same for the sick that listen to the preaching of the Gospel and believe in His Word? He can do all things at all times!

It does not matter if people will give you credit or not, for this is the work of God and it is not conditioned to a religious group. In fact, the Lord’s work has nothing to do with the religiosity of His people, but with the anointing that He pours upon us. We need to learn to be continually at the feet of the Heavenly Father, following His directions. Thus, when it is necessary, He will give us His orientation, and if we believe, we will see His glory. Halleluiah!

Never put doubt in people’s hearts, and never doubt God. Men may be wrong, but we must let them make their decisions by themselves. When Jesus spoke to the father of the boy that threw himself in the fire and water, He showed that if he believed, everything would be possible (Mark 9.17-29). Doubting what God will do in regards to the incredulity of people is to lack in belief that He has the capacity to transform them. 

When the Lord asked what Moses had in his hand, He did not want him to doubt about what the Most High would do on his favor (Exodus 4:2). Then, the deliverer certified that it was a rod that was in his hand, and when he threw it to the ground, the rod was transformed into a serpent, and he fled from it (v. 3). It must have been funny to see the serpent running after the man of God. Certainly, he asked the Lord to save him from that animal. As he got it from its tail, the serpent went back to be a rod (v. 4). The following lesson remains: we must let God do His work as He desires.

Those who live in doubt, or are unbelievers, will not be able to be used by the Lord. Many times, it will be necessary for Him to use us to say something that will happen. However, this demands practice and fear of the Lord. After all, if we say something by ourselves, nothing will happen. God only has a commitment with His Word, and not with what we think is right or not. His servants must be aware that the responsible for their lives is the God of the Patriarchs.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob went through great troubles, but nothing bad happened to them. In the same way, those who fulfill the work of the Almighty must consider themselves pilgrims and foreigners on Earth. Thus, they will never slip in the ‘banana´s peel’, thrown by the enemy, along their way. Be careful not to be involved with the spirit of incredulity, and thus, be lost in rebellion or sin. Mercy, Lord!

Feel what God wants to do through you and do not let fear invade your heart, for the signs will follow those who believe (Mark 16:17,18), and will make people pay attention to what you preach. These signs are not the sole purpose of your faith; they exist to bring salvation to people.
