but if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion. 1 Corinthians 7:9

God created the human being in a fantastic way, giving both man and woman a condition far superior than that of the animals.  The reproductive organs – composed of eight thousand nerve endings were so expertly made that the specialists in Medicine say that they afford great pleasure both to men and to women.  There is nothing wrong in using what God created for pleasure, besides other uses and functions as long as they’re practiced in the sanctity of marriage and naturally.

Sex has various purposes: physical, mental, and spiritual.  It is hard to understand how some people prefer the single life in solitude, swearing not to use sex, if not only the body but also the mind feel the need of this normal and healthy practice of married life, just like food, or entertainment and the study of the Word of God which is food for the spirit.   Beyond this there is the spiritual aspect – procreation when we give inheritance to the Lord.

If a person feels as one of 144 thousand that will not know sexual experience, and were created only to serve the Lord, but burn in passion, it would be better to reconsider their calling and to seek a partner to marry.  The Almighty would not make anyone suffer and crave for sex and at the same time deprive the same from the blessings of sex in a constant struggle, falling always into temptation and sin.  Mercy!

By the way, the Lord lets us know and understand that those that are destined to live a chaste life come already prepared by Him to live in solitude or they prayed and were considered in their plea and there are some that were mutilated by man. Those that feel sexual urges certainly were created for marriage and in doing so, will not suffer loss in serving God, seeing as this urge and practice was created by Him and is in no way sinful. The Almighty stated that it is not good for man to be alone  (Genesis 2:18).

There is no sin in marrying as long as it is in the Lord; but for many who do not think of the right person, there will be trouble because, if it´s not God´s will, that person will want to do things not approved by the Bible.  We are a special people in every sense, mainly to live and enjoy God’s best. Being observant and obedient to all His Scriptural teachings, you will be happy.

In marriage, neither spouse can avoid or flee from marital life responsibilities as long as all sexual practices are mutually natural.  Each must receive what is their right within their need.  Nobody can judge their partner inferior or superior in their desire, but should there be any doubt, a doctor must be consulted. However, a previous talk in open and sincere frankness with God fearing adults may clarify any and all doubts.

Even for prayer, the spouse  that wishes to abstain for a short period must seek the other’s consent and must return soon so that neither is tempted by Satan (1 Corinthians 7:5)  Whoever is considering marriage but has doubts concerning these subjects must see their pastor.  God is love!

In Christ, with Love,

God of faithfulness!  There is nothing sadder in a marriage than infidelity, where the partners do not live by their mutual commitment signed before You and fall into sin by betraying their spouse. We can’t do this lest the devil ensnare us.

Why does anyone not marry?  It is not good for a human being to remain single. We now pray for those who think they are one of the 144 thousand but spend their lives burning in passion and often in sin.  If they truly had this calling they would be naturally different.

We invoke Your blessing on those that fulfilled Your Word in marriage but have troubles in their weddings.  That the singles and the widowed meditate on the Holy Scriptures and mend their ways, so as not to lose Your grace and the gift of matrimony.
