Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on. Genesis 28.20 – 21

The institution of the vow is sacred, so nobody should be induced to make a promise or vow unless he is conducted by the Most High.  Jacob understood that the divine revelation and presence was the right moment to make the vow of his life, receiving the Lord as his God.  From that moment forward he would serve Him and would trust and depend on His goodness to support him and transform him into who God had planned.  And he was!

When the Lord called me to initiate and carry on a television program to change the face of the Gospel in Brazil, I knew I would need and depend on many resources to fulfill this mission, because this means of communication is very expensive.  So then, I made a vow to never cry before the public in order to obtain financial support.  I understood that if God was in this project He would touch the hearts and the minds of all the right people and call them to sponsor the mission.  Halleluiah, because this is what He did!

Jacob recognized and understood his call and was up to telling the Lord that He would be his God.  Besides, he would render to God all his adoration, praise and thanksgiving and the Almighty would protect him and keep him from all evil and harm.  The servants of the Almighty live in peace, enjoy health, blessings and nothing holds them from returning to the Father’s house.  Those who have Him as his God never stumble on the way; before being tempted, they are forewarned and kept in divine love.

Whatever God reveals to you will operate as the house of the Lord, where you will always find Him.  Don’t lose His word.  Certainly in His light there is sufficient power for fulfillment.  God needs those who want to dream His dreams and see how He has connected in your favor.  So, when least expecting, this person will be surprised by the greatness of divine glory.

 Be faithful to the Lord in finances and obedience to His commands.  Never leave God’s presence but flee from the temptations that come up along the way.   In the end you will see that His hand will always operate in your favor.  Make the Almighty your God, knowing that His servants never lack.  Believe this: your life will be greatly blessed when you also bless others.

Like Jacob, after receiving the revelation, you must stand up.  Do not remain lying down, or on your back; this time is only useful for resting and aligning yourself with God.  Do as He says and be positive.  Be conscious you are not under orders of men, but yes, under the command of the Lord your God.  Your life’s plan is His, so it is complete and vested with infinite power to make you victorious.  Do not be deluded by the temptations, for due only to the fact that they are from the devil, they will cause you all sorts of harm, even death!

Nevertheless, if you are already on your feet, be careful and responsible in everything you do for the Lord, and no matter how attracted you might be to the enemy’s offers, don’t give in to any of them; the devil is focused exclusively on dragging you to eternal perdition.  On the other hand, happiness is well guarded by Him who is perfect.  So follow all the way through on your mission. (Deuteronomy 12:13).  Amen?
