But sought the God of his father, and walked in His commandments and not according to the acts of Israel. 2 Chronicles 17.4

The decisions Jehoshaphat made turned his path graceful. Those who do the same will realize the Lord will be with them as He did with those who feared Him in the past. These are the kind of people the Most High searches to bless. It doesn’t matter who is beside you, just make the difference. Your obedience to the Word of God is what counts. If someone despises the Sacred Scripture, he will perish for sure.

When he sought to serve God as David, his ancestral, did, and did not seek mysticism, Jehoshaphat gave the Lord the opportunity to work in his life. Even if you do not have much biblical understanding, intend deep in your heart to serve the Father according to what His Word says, and He will help you to succeed. Those who seek mystical things, although they are following the Gospel, won’t be helped by the Most High.

Jehoshaphat sought the God David found when he was a boy. This search happens according to what it is written in the Scriptures. You can do the same; however, you don’t have to seek the God of David or Abraham, but the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the same God; nevertheless, as God of David, He cannot work completely. But, as God and Father of Jesus, His work is endless.

The newly installed king sought to follow the commandments of the Lord. Those who do the same will see that was the best decision ever made. The one who fulfills the divine orders gives the Father the conditions to work on him. For all the promises are fulfilled in Jesus, when we believe, the Lord brings to completion (2 Co 1.20). Those who seek to follow the divine commandments will know how to proceed in every case (1 Co 2.16).

The works the kingdom of the North practiced attracted the Lord’s wrath. Those tribes kept the name of Israel, but didn’t respect the Lord who had taken them out from captivity and so restrained Him from blessing them. There are Christians who don’t think it´s a big deal to drink alcohol or watch “adult movies”, distort the truth or practice other sinful things. Well, these practices restrain them from succeeding.

The result of Jehoshaphat’s fidelity was that the Most High confirmed the kingdom in his hand. We are made kings and priests to God (Rev 1.6). However, it is not enough having the diploma; without taking possession, we cannot make use of the authority of a sovereign. After the confirmation, the gifts came and made Jehoshaphat have abundant wealth and glory. They can be material gifts, but, in first place, they must be spiritual gifts.

In Christ, with love,

Beloved God! May all my friends have fear of You; so they can walk with You, make Your will and, in the end, praise You as You must be loved and praised. How good is to praise Your Name, Lord.

The wisdom you gave Jehoshaphat made him a careful and protected person in every sense. Do the same with everyone who, now, cries out to You. Help this person not to get involved with sin and to serve You with happiness.

The one who goes along well with You knows that no weapon formed against him shall prosper and, because of that, he will win all the battles. Oh! Lord! How I wish all my readers reach this spiritual level!
