03/02/2015 - JUST A PRAYER WAS MISSING FOR GOD TO ACT

And the LORD sent an angel, who annihilated all the fighting men and the commanders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace. And when he went into the temple of his god, some of his sons, his own flesh and blood, cut him down with the sword. 2 Chronicles 32.21

The Lord was just waiting for a prayer of faith in order to defeat the Assyrian Empire. God promises to take care of His people. But if we keep quiet when we are in need, He can’t do anything. In the parable of the unjust judge, Jesus taught us to always pray and never give up (Luk 18.1-8). The Most High has already prepared an expert angel to destroy brave enemies (Ex 23.23). But we need to cry out for Him.

During 13 centuries, the Assyrians dominated a big part of the world at the time. They were invincible and after some time they decided to invade the territory of God’s people. But what works for people that don’t serve God will not work in our lives. After all, we have an alliance with the Omnipotent, who certainly will fulfill His promise. We just have to battle under His guidance.

Listening to what Hezekiah was doing in Judah, Sennacherib king of Assyria, thought he was strong enough to invade the land of the Israelites and subjugate it. Poor king! Even though they were outnumbered by the Assyrians, God’s people have the Biggest one amongst them. There is no way to the adversary can succeed when the Christian knows his rights and uses them. Right now, what is wrong in your life will only remain if you don’t ask for God’s interference.

The powerful Sennacherib didn’t know that in Judah there was a king that feared the Lord and a prophet that served the Almighty. Here is the difference between people that serve the Most High and people that refuse to bow down before His will. It is worth to belong to the Lord and have communion with Him. The most High will always attend us and accomplish His will. Always be firm in your faith because the enemy knows he is already defeated.

As soon as Hezekiah and Isaiah had prayed, the Lord sent an angel during the night and he put to death 185 thousand soldiers of the enemy’s army (2 Kin 19.35). The same way, you must pray and the Heavenly Father will send His angel with the power to heal and undo the threats from hell. This way you will have your life be just as the days that come after a storm.

The defeated return of Sennacherib happened because he went against God’s people. The Lord will always be faithful to what He has promised. And that is a lesson to those who have cancer or others incurable diseases for instance. The Assyrian king couldn’t believe in what he saw. But because he didn’t repent of his awkward adventure he would go through others sad situations further ahead.

Returning to his land and going after his god’s temple to ask about his failure, Sennacherib’s own children went against him and killed him. God said a long time ago that nobody should touch His anointed ones (Psalm 105.15).

In Christ, with love

All powerful God! What despair entered in Sennacherib’s heart when he saw his dead army. Now he understands he was too bold to defy You. The same can happen – and have already taken place - to those who try to provoke You.

What is mankind that You are mindful of them? But regarding the man that tries to provoke You, what will happen to him? Well Lord, those mad people that open their mouth and say You don’t exist, they don’t know they are cultivating their own eternal sentences.

May all my readers understand that You are the other part of the new Alliance they assumed when they received Jesus! You promised to act in favor of Your people and help those who believe and are faithful to You and who are always ready to ask for Your intervention. Thank you with all my heart!
