29/04/2016 - JUSTICE AND LOYALTY

And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.  1 Samuel 26:23

The fear of the Lord causes us not to get that which God hasn’t given us and it also prevents us from doing our will. We must trust that the Most High is our Justice. We have to believe that, in His time, He will give us the reward. If you have the fear of God in your heart you will never accept the offers of the enemy.

Saul was in David´s hands at least twice. If David did not fear the Lord, he would have finished everything at that moment. However, it would have been registered as a bad deed, for, even if we have been hurt, and if we don’t understand why God allowed it to happen, we must deviate from what the natural man thinks is right.

To ignore what we think is right and obey the Word are the most important acts we can accomplish. Thus, we obtain the respect of the Most High, who undoubtedly will grant us more of Himself and of His power in order for us to fulfill what has been said about us. It is like a credit we receive before Him and at the right moment, it will be given to us as He has planned.

Loyalty is due even to the person who has offended us, who has attacked our life or our moral. If they are asleep or if they are not capable of defending themselves, you must never go up against them. Now, if you want to do the most important work, let the Lord execute His justice, for it is always the best decision. Your hands will remain clean and you will not feel guilty.

The fact that God delivers a person into our hands does not mean that we should destroy them or hurt them. Like in David´s case, it is a trial to test if we remain faithful to the Word. Jesse´s son surely understood: what was written was more than enough to undo his wrath and not act on his own behalf, since Saul had been separated by the prophet Samuel to be king of Israel. The Most High then blessed David for such attitude of obedience and mercy!

Your hand must be stretched only to execute divine justice over the forces of evil and not against any person. Be sensible to the directions of the Lord and do only what He told you to do, even if it is only in prayer. Therefore, never ask for the life of the one who caused you harm. On the contrary, prophesy more health to that person and that they may repent of their wrong doings.

The shout to Abner was a message that David did not fear neither he nor Saul. He was constantly in the presence of God and because of that he knew that no evil would befall him, nor any plague would come near his dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Those who trust in the Most High let Him act in their favor.

In Christ, with love,

O God! What was seen on that day was very important for those who become aware of the wise attitude of David. Therefore, we ask for help for us not to do what comes to us by human hands, but only what Your Word teaches us.

We must fear You and never do something which we will regret later. The harm done against someone´s life will never be erased, for we have hurt the life or the honor of a person, who although was wrong, needs You so much!

You will pay each one according to their justice and loyalty. If we stop doing justice with our own hands, than that means we truly obey You. May we be loyal and faithful to those who have offended us. Amen!
