Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind. Matthew 13:47

Those who take no care or concern for their way of life, do not consecrate themselves to the Lord and do not carry out their mission entrusted by Him will be sorry with Christ’s return.  Like a fisherman’s net when cast into the sea gathers all sorts of fish and just like those that are rejected for having no value, when the Master returns, so will the angels choose some and reject others.  It is necessary to have grown in faith and obey divine will in order not to be rejected.

They who cause scandal in the Kingdom of God, like chaff planted among good seed, will be set apart and consumed by fire.

Now, it offends the Word of the Lord those who care not to give a bad example in their way of living when contrary or not in keeping with the divine commandments.  Beyond this, when questioned, this person declares that the life is to be lived as each one wants to live their own life and no one else has anything to say, question or criticize; that loving God and not being fanatic is what is of importance. This person could care less about weakness in faith.

In this world, there are many people who live by the principle that the ends justify the means.  In faith this is simply impossible to accept. To reach a good end we must walk according to God’s precepts or we cannot be accepted as His servants.  Those who do permit themselves to be drawn or led by things that are attractive and follow the wicked teachings certainly are not pleasing the Lord.

The fishermen know that only good fish have a market for them, so, for this reason they discard the bad. Jesus made this comparison showing us that if we are of no value we will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The value here of course is not commercial, but a much higher value because of what is involved, that is true love for the Lord. Everyone who causes scandal to Him will be eliminated. While you are on the way, seek to consecrate yourself so as not to be misjudged when the Master comes and you have suffer for this.

If you do not rid yourself of the flaws and errors in your life you will be selected out to be burned by fire which will be for eternity.  If you still do not know what deeds or acts can lead you to eternal suffering, pray that the Almighty show you which they are and that He may help you to rid yourself of them. Today, Jesus is our defense lawyer but at the end of time He will come as a great Judge. Consequently, those that cooperated with or were helped by the enemy shall perish.

The judgment to be practiced by Jesus Christ on His return will be more severe and serious than man can imagine. In the Kingdom of God no one will remain who in any way may have caused scandal to his neighbor or to the Gospel. Jesus said that if our righteousness does not exceed greatly that of the scribes and the Pharisees we will not enter the Kingdom of God (Matthew 5:20) Very wrong is the one who thinks that the Omnipotent is only threatening so that men will not err as much. After all, He is the Truth.

Live and strive to be separated into the basket of good fish; this way you will have assured admission into the eternal Kingdom of Jesus. Why wait to see what will happen on the Master’s return? This attitude shows no faith in the Lord and one will not be received by Him on the great Day. It is better to assure your admission into the Kingdom of God.
