Then Abram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to the Lord. Genesis 13:18

When the Lord told Abraham that he should rise and walk throughout the land that would be given to him (v. 17), the patriarch did not doubt that it would happen, for God himself had said so. Thus, he settled where the Lord had commanded. Just as Abraham obeyed the Lord, fulfilling what God had commanded, we must obey the divine Word through all its length and width, for it was given to us when we accepted Jesus as Savior.

To understand this more clearly, let us consider the Gospel as if it were a religion. Being so, it is different from all others, for in each religion, humans need to do something to deserve benefits. However, in the Gospel, everything that we need was already given to us, and we do not need to do anything to deserve salvation. In fact, we only need to believe in what our God says to be blessed.

When Abraham heard the divine voice and left the land that he inhabited, the devil was established in this world as if it were its owner. Since Eve let herself be deceived by the enemy and Adam sinned consciously, the tempter usurped man’s position and began to rule as the prince of this world. But when Jesus died in the cross and rose from death, this power ended. Today, Satan cannot keep us in bondage. On the contrary, we now have authority over him and his works.

The Gospel is for us what Canaan was for the Israelites – the Promised Land. Today, whenever you feel any attack of the evil one, whatever it may be, regardless of the intensity, you can order and demand that the evil leaves you. If you continue to believe so, the evil will disappear. When those who are lost listen to this truth, they are marveled and do not understand how it may be possible. However, the truth is that there is so much more waiting for us. Being so, it is necessary to know your land.

Your inheritance is a land of plenty, many blessings, freedom, safety and everything that is good. As Abraham, we must walk in the land through its length and width, seeing everything in it, and at the same time, knowing that it is our property. God gives us the possession and dominion of the Promised Land when we assume it by faith, in the name of Jesus. However, remember that only the courageous take hold of the Kingdom of Heaven (Mt. 11:12).

Read the Bible and find out what belongs to you through the Son of God. Be fearless and demand that the biblical promises are manifested in your life. The Gospel teaches us to be freed of sin, victorious over the temptations, and to enjoy health and prosperity. On the New Land that God is giving us, there are many blessings waiting for us!

In Christ, with love,
