For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 1 Corinthians 3:9

Our participation in the Gospel is a blessing from the Almighty to our favor, because only with His help can we do something as Holy as His divine work. This mission is the sequence to Jesus’ and the Apostle’s work, who learned everything from Jesus.  Who are we? We are those that the Lord chose and conceded the Holy Spirit to.  This enables us to keep talking about His love.

Isaiah says we are like unclean things and all our righteousness’s are like filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6) Job asked one question that explains what we are: “What is man, that You should exalt him, That You should set Your heart on him, That You should visit him every morning, And test him every moment? (Job 7:17, 18) We are His creatures and even thou fallen in sin, the Creator did not give up on us or abandon us. After Calvary, we are blameless in His presence because of Jesus’ blood that was shed at the cross.

Even though He is All-Powerful, the Lord called us to do His work together with Him. We were constituted as His laborers; we share in the work of the redemption. Don’t feel that you have nothing to do, since God doesn’t think that you don’t; He has already commissioned you to fulfill this call. Now, in Christ you are someone the devil must respect and obey; as you mention the Name of Jesus you unleash the power of God into action.

Remember we are God’s laborer (1 Corinthians 3:9) and He is our husbandman (John 15:1). In order for the vine to bear abundant fruit the husbandman must prune the branches – the Christians – and remove the dry branches, the weak and non- bearing branches so that at the proper season and time they will bear the fruit that pleases the Lord. However if we are disobedient and rebellious, refusing to carry out our mission, we will be cut off and thrown into the fire (v. 2,6) Mercy, Lord!

Although we are not what the Father planned, He remembers us and His purpose for the saved, and we often do not give this fact the importance due.  This is like being fooled by Satan who because of our pride and vanity is able to snare us in his web. There’s only one way to belong to God again. We must repent, convert and receive the Lord’s rich mercies. This is what you must do!

We must cooperate with the Almighty. No doubt He could have developed another plan to His liking but because He loves us he placed us in His favor. No matter how much the flesh tempts you to do wrong, incline your heart to the Almighty and to doing His bidding. God’s cooperators will be remembered and rewarded for all eternity. Added to this, those that do good will shine as the brightness of the firmament, for ever and ever (Daniel 12:3)

Let the Omnipotent make a holy building out of you where He will live to fulfill His perfect will. The boy who gave five loaves and two fish for Jesus to feed five thousand men not counting women and children returned home with twelve baskets full of pieces. (Matthew 14:20; Mark 6:43; Luke 9:17; John 6:13) “Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together and running over, shall men give into your bosom.” (Luke 6:38) Amen!

In Christ, with Love,

Lord! We are Your laborers and this gives us a sense of responsibility. Watch and care for us that we remain exactly where You place us and we do not stray from your purpose.

As you are our husbandman we will be cared for in the best manner and when You so wish, You can harvest the best fruits You wish through us. We do not want to deny You like the fig tree and be cursed.  Help us to be and to remain faithful.

Use our lives as Your home, a building to honor and to praise You. This way, we will always walk with You and grow in Your holy service, where nobody will ever get hurt or be subject to scandal with us. Thank You for having chosen us. Amen!
