Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech.  2 Corinthians 3.12

It is important to be aware of what the person chosen to be your master thinks and how he or she acts (1 John 4.1). Many are not even saved and want to teach on how God is to be worshiped and how to reach all kinds of blessings, from forgiveness of sins and healing of infirmities. It is sad to see a leader consecrating a new convert to the ministry because, in doing so, the work of the Lord is ridiculed. Both will be judged, though.

Jesus was both positive and firm in everything He said, because He did what the Father commanded (John 8.28). It is evident that our Master, who created all things, was capable of talking about any subject, but He waited for God’s command to speak up. We must have that kind of prudence. When making decisions, first seek the direction of the Most High.

The will of the Omnipotent is recorded in His Word. People who, not accepting the instructions in the Word, cry out to find whether something is His will or not are in error. First of all, because this person already knows what it is; second, because he does not fulfill it. They will be inexcusable in the Judgment Day. Jesus said that He won’t judge anyone, but that His very Word will (John 12.47-48).

Words are like seeds that, once planted, will yield a harvest. The temptations you face, even the ones you are familiar with, tend to grow with time. If left unchecked, they will increase and later become normal. If you rebuke them yet they persist, pray to be delivered (Mathew 6.13); otherwise, in no time you will be fulfilling those desires.

When describing the beauty of the Church, the author of the Songs of Solomon declared that the roof of the revelation is given to us like the best wine to the Lover, one which goes down smoothly and making the lips of sleepers, or of the old in the faith, speak (Songs of Solomon 7.9). This verse shows us that all that is necessary will be revealed to God’s people. The understanding given by God in His Word is the truth which you must believe.

If we believe, therefore, we ought to declare our convictions in the same spirit of faith (2 Corinthians 4.13). Without a doubt, we are no pitiful little creatures, marginalized, forgotten by the Lord; on the contrary, we represent His people in this generation and must behave as such. What the heroes of faith accomplished in their times we can also accomplish. In fact, we are capable of doing more than they did and equal or even surpass the deeds of the Master (John 14.12).

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yaweh, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation’ (Isaiah 12.2). We lack nothing to defeat the attacks of the enemy against our lives. For the Christian all it takes is believing to make things happen. If you belong to God, don’t let yourself be oppressed by anything (1 John 5.18). Be set free now and forever.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Lord, we must walk in faith if we are going to do Your will and change the way we understand what happens around us. Most of the time, because of our childishness, we allow the evil one to use our words in order to fulfill his mission to kill, steal and destroy.

We have the hope of eternal life because we became Your sons and received the forgiveness of our sins. Nothing can separate us from Your love and lead us to live away from Your guidance. However, this unfortunately has been happening.

We need to learn from the champions who, in their days, served with excellence. They were bold to speak and, in doing so, conquered kingdoms and practiced justice. Lord! Isn't this what we are lacking? So, help us!
