13/11/2015 - LIKE THE ARMY OF GOD

For at that time they came to David day by day to help him, until it was a great army, like the army of God.  1 Chronicles 12.22

David did not reign over the Israelites soon after Saul’s death. There were things that he still had to learn and other things that ought to happen before the right time came for him to occupy the throne. God does not work in advance or too late. Therefore, those who fear the Almighty cannot be led by anything, but only by what He shows through His Word and what He does for His own people.

One of Saul’s sons thought he had the right to rule, although the Lord had said through Prophet Samuel that the son of Jesse was the chosen person to govern His people. In fact, David had already been anointed by the prophet. There are many people that say that they are godly, but do not understand that the command of His people, or of His Church, is not a family inheritance. The Most High is the one who should select the successors in His work.

Those who are sent by the Most High are not always accepted by all people. Sometimes, they suffer persecution and are despised by their siblings. However, this must not discourage them, but make them trust in the Lord. He will fulfill what He has determined, even if some do not submit to His sovereignty. Be careful! Those who do not fear Him may manipulate in order to assume the command of a church.

However, the Lord never ceased and will never cease to fulfill what He has proposed. In David’s case, the military commanders of Israel voluntary gathered towards him. Still today, the Omnipotent moves the hearts of honest people so that they may gather towards the one whom He has appointed as leader of His people. Even knowing of Saul’s mistakes, one of his sons fought for the kingdom to be his.

Do not be afraid of doing what the Father orders you, and do not use shady ways to establish the divine will, for this would annul you as a sent one of God. When a person is in the hands of the Lord, even his enemies have peace with him (Prov 16.7). It is good to be cautious, because with the return of Christ coming soon, the devil is working to lead many towards destruction.

Whoever remains faithful will see that the Most High cares about the smallest details of His work, and when the time comes, there will be a great army at your side. Never act in disagreement with the Biblical orientation; after all, whoever buys support makes pacts with thieves, disregarding what the Word condemns. If someone opens himself to the enemy, he will suffer in this life. In the Great Day, he will be completely confused.

God’s promises that come day by day should not be discarded. Through them, the Lord is forming an army that will come to help you. David saw that the hand of the Most High was with him. At the right moment, that servant was declared king over the people of Israel. God is holy in everything He does, and His servants should be the same.

In Christ, with love,

Supreme Commander! How do some people dare to challenge You, when they manipulate to be the leaders of Your people? It seems like they do not believe in You nor in the final Judgment. But those who fear You know that You are in the command of Your Church.

David did not make a campaign to govern Your people. You sent Samuel to anoint him as King of Israel. Even though the prophet thought that the throne would belong to Jesse’s firstborn, You did not let this happen and ordered David to be made king.

Why should we enter in a political dispute, and in some cases, use shady strategies to lead the Church, if You are the One who commands and protects it? May Your people have fear so that only Your will may be done.
