However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” Mark 5.19

The work of God does not finish when He sets a person completely free from the evil forces. In fact, this process continues in a higher scale after they are set free. Whoever considers that healing cancer is the only thing that the Most High can do is mistaken. In truth, we only serve the Lord if we have been truly set free.

Whoever lets himself be used by the Omnipotent discovers how blessed it is to serve the Almighty, for when they gives what they received from God, more is given to them. Whoever retains the divine gift, or only uses it when they want, does great evil to the Lord’s kingdom. Since they are not a true servant, he will not be used as they ought to be.

The possessed man from Gadarene was in one of the last stages of involvement with evil. His possession by the enemy was something terrible. Probably, he was in one of the worst levels of submission to the devil. However, Jesus went to him and set him free from the legion of demons that oppressed him. If he had not been set free, he would have probably died soon.

Everyone was admired with the madman, because from one moment to another, he was sitting at Jesus’ feet, cleaned and with new clothes, in perfect judgment. This is what God wants to do with all who are possessed by evil spirits. The deliverance that Jesus does is complete. Wherever there is still any operation of evil, the work has not yet been finished.

The mistake of not understanding the operation of the power of God has made many lose precious blessings that they could have with Jesus’ presence in their midst. The Lord will not do again what He has already done, for when He suffered our wonders, He healed us. If you are sick, stop asking for healing. Pray thanking the Father for having healed you already, and right after, demand evil to leave your life.

When Jesus was leaving, the former possessed man asked to let him go with Christ. However, the Lord did not allow it, for this was not God’s plan. You cannot create fixed rules and demand all to submit to them. Everyone must seek the divine will and fulfill it. The Gadarene had to be a missionary for his relatives, friends, and fellow countrymen.

The Most High’s purposes for your life are greater than what you can imagine. However, you must sit at His feet in perfect judgment first. Whoever does not have good judgment tries to satisfy their own interests when they are set free. The wise prioritize the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
