As we have heard,So we have seen In the city of the Lord of hosts, In the city of our God: God will establish it forever. Psalm 48.8

It is essential for us to pay attention to what the Word of God has to say about the Lord, because the description is like a portrait of Him. No one will ever know about the Lord outside the Scriptures, and this knowledge is given to us by the Holy Spirit. As you understand about what He can do in your behalf, you will see Him acting.

God is spirit, so don’t wait to see a white bearded man, like the one the artists in the Middle Ages used to portrait. In your heart, you will be able to feel Him in His powerful essence. Just like when the Lord protected Abraham in Egypt, when he used David to win battles, and enlightened Isaiah to write about powerful secrets that can help us live in Truth. Faith in Christ always shows us how God is.

The psalmist said that because he knew God from listening to Him, he also saw Him in His city. The Scriptures talk about the Omnipotent in a personal matter, as someone who is by our side to protect and strengthen us. When the Holy Spirit gives us understanding about the Word, it is as if we could see the Most High in His city, ready to enter the battle until we can achieve victory.

We must first listen about what the Lord is, then, see Him in His city were He is big and worthy to be praised. Then, faith will make us understand the exact moment when we should enter the battle against the forces of evil – the unclean spirits that makes us suffer. At the same time, we will feel the divine power leading us to undo the works of darkness. When we see the Heavenly Father, we will never be the same.

In the city of our God there are many palaces where He is known for being the High Refuge, the place where all that believe in Him can find shelter. Everything that the Highest one possesses is shown in a spectacular way, because that is how He is. As you receive faith in Christ, you will become more than a conqueror. If one day you need to seek refuge, do not take long to believe in God and enter His safe fortress. 

The kings that saw the Lord became marveled and scared as they quickly ran away. When the battle is very tough, wait until He is seeing by the forces of evil, they surely will become desperate. You will ceased to be attacked by the enemy when God fights by your side. How good it would be if that happened right now? The only thing to be done is to believe.

The Lord exceeds everything that human wisdom can describe, because He is superior to any knowledge that comes from men. A person who does not seek to know Him is losing a lot, because He is the solution to every single problem. There is no other way to become happy, free and saved, if not through the knowledge of God.
