15/01/2015 - LONGEVITY IN YOUR HANDS

A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor, but he who hates covetousness will prolong his days. Proverbs 28.16

God raises His servants to be princes so that they might do His work as He planned. He took our punishment away, gave us His Spirit and all the necessary gifts for us to fully accomplish our mission. None of those whom God has called can claim that they lacked anything; however, unfortunately, not all of them remain firm in holiness. Therefore, the holy Name of the Lord has been blasphemed.

Those who are called by the Most High and let themselves be led by the temptations do great harm to the divine work. They lose their intelligence and start presuming that God does not matter with the evil that they do and that the enemy knows about nothing. Now, all the things are naked before the Lord’s eyes, and thus, He cannot maintain His communion with those who are in sin. The devil knows when a person obeys him, and therefore, the person is in his hands.

The oppressions come together with sin, and in little time, if the servant of God does not seek to get things right with the Most High, he will not be able to face the devil’s attempts against his life. There are not few people in such a condition. They did what they shouldn’t, and because of the shame they could go through, they hide the truth, and then do not have any more forces to face the devil with his works of destruction.

Every day, there are new diabolic assaults. Those who remain in sin, even if they have stopped practicing their mistake, if they do not confess to who they betrayed and also to the Lord, they will remain in the hands of the oppressor, and will be struck by the evil arrows day by day. There is no way for those who sin except deciding to put a final end to it all. This can be done with a true confession and consequently, with repentance.

The verse above talks about he who hates covetousness, if that is the cause of his fall. There are cases in which a person must hate adultery, dishonesty, or any other demon that uses an evil practice to drive a person away from the divine presence. God knows how to care for all those that belong to Him, provided that this person knows how to choose who he obeys. Whoever serves the devil walks away from the Lord’s mercy. He who serves God must hate the demon that has already defeated him.

The Most High will give longevity to whoever assumes the commitment of breaking up with sin. This person will have much time to enjoy the presence of the Lord and all that the Omnipotent has for him. Those who decide to remain in transgression will see that their insane act will make their lives get shortened. The decision is left for each one of us to take with our consciousness. Sincere repentance allows forgiveness to be granted.

Know that right now, the Lord is contemplating your heart to see what attitude you will take. If you obey the touch of the Holy Spirit, He will bless you, but if you continue in sin, He will turn His back to you. Why should you allow yourself be led by lies, and then stumble and fall to never rise again? Shouldn’t you put an end to your distance from Life, Love, and all good things?

In Christ, with love,

Oh God! We cannot fail You and let the enemy take control over our lives. He came to kill, steal, and destroy. Whoever obeys the evil one is outside of Your protection. That is why we are asking for Your favor and mercy. Help us Lord!

We cannot be responsible for the multiplication of the oppressions. They do not only happen with us, but also with those who are under our authority. Come, oh Father, redeem us and deliver us from the lack of discernment between right and wrong.

We want to hate everything that is temptation. Do not let us be dominated by any of these sinful feelings, but save us by Your power. We want to live many years in Your presence, doing Your will and taking your Truth to many lives.
