A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. John 13: 34

Jesus’ love for man was unique, because He gave His life for mankind (1 Timothy 2: 6). In the same way, we should love those who have obtained the common salvation. A biblical example to be imitated is that of Jonathan, who loved David, even though he knew that David would become king of Israel in his stead (1 Samuel 18: 1-3). Saul’s firstborn did not hesitate to acknowledge the Lord’s will over the son of Jesse and accepted such a direction.

We will be known by the people if we act as the Master, loving those the Father has brought to the Gospel. Now, all Christians have had a call to occupy a position in the Kingdom of God. So why not help those who need it? Envy, family preference or friendship should not be the cause of division between us. Strive not to harm Heaven’s plan!

To love thy neighbor goes beyond the act of two people having social gatherings, in which one asks about the family, one talks about the personal life, etc. In fact, people need to see that we are consecrated to God, filled with His power. Thus, in moments of tribulation, we will be instruments of the heavenly Father to deliver them with a simple prayer made in the Name of Jesus.

Christ commanded that we should do for others what we would like them to do for us (Matthew 7:12). For this reason, we must be at the Lord’s feet so that when someone is in trouble, we can give them the solution. The Savior’s compassion for the young man of Nain, the Gadarene, and the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well should teach us something.

The Savior taught that to love God is to keep His commandments and keep them (John 14:21). So, to love thy neighbor is to have the commands given by Him, the anointing He dispenses to those who attend to His call and the power from on High and use such resources to deliver the troubled. We have no other choice but to serve in the same way that Jesus served the Father.

When we fail to do good, we hurt the Lord, who raised us up to be useful in His hands. Therefore, begin to seek Him, because His purpose has not changed in this generation. The Most High hopes that we will glorify Him here on Earth just like His beloved Son did. He fulfilled that which was commanded Him (John 17: 4). This is the way!

The apostle Paul said: But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. (1 Timothy 5: 8). Everyone saved is a member of the family of Christ, so they must love the lost just like the Lord Jesus did. Seek the presence of the Almighty, and He will use you as He wants. You will be rewarded!

In Christ with love,

R. R. Soares

Lord! If we have the same feeling that was in You, we will keep Your commandments. In this way, we will be loved with the same love we give You, and You will fulfill the promises You have made to us. Halleluiah!

That is the greatest message to be preached. People need to believe in Your Word and love You. Your love compels us to love people we don’t know, even those who live in sin. Therefore, we believe that they will convert to You.

May we be like Jonathan, who, according to Your Word, loved David more than his own soul. Take us to the Gadarenes, to Nain and to wherever there is one in need. Our mission is to serve You!
