And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9

When the Lord speaks to you through the Word, or even directly, you should believe, for He would never say anything that was not extremely necessary. Truly I consider a dream, or a direct word from God, as the ultimate opportunity to open your eyes and not fall for the devil’s lies. Surely before having this chance, the Almighty has already shown you, through the readings of the Scriptures or hearing of his anointed preachers what you must do.

Paul prayed that the trials that he suffered would be diminished, but since he had heard things that the common man was not allowed, the hurt that Satan’s messengers delivered were necessary. Since Paul had insisted requesting relief from them, the Lord said no. To God, the Grace he had given the apostle was sufficient, for him to continue as faithful, being a sanctified servant at all times and in all circumstances.

The apostle needed to be weak so that the divine power might be perfected in him. The Lord knows how to handle each of His saved. If we must endure difficult trials in order not to stray or deviate and be drawn away, and at the same time we fulfill our vocation with fidelity and love, He will grant us the Grace to withstand the precious lesson. With the Almighty caring for you, needless it becomes to have any worry or cause for lament.

On hearing from the Almighty that all he needed was God’s grace, Paul replied that he would rather glory in his weakness willingly. It is not important where you have been placed but yes it is important that the Lord be with you, for you and in you. Right this moment, if you have complained or murmured against any circumstances that made you suffer, go into prayer and tell God that you accept what He considers best for you. By doing this you will certainly please Him.

The price may be high but what matters is the power of Christ abiding in your life. With it you will do everything to obtain relief, even in the most difficult trials. There is nothing worse than living in a defeated manner or way for lack of authority over the devil. Truth has to be addressed with faith as in Jesus’s days. In any situation or circumstance remain faithful to the Lord’s instructions.

For having been obedient Paul completed the course and kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). Should he have grown disheartened or desisted preaching the Gospel because of the hardships and difficulties that he faced, he would have deeply regretted it. Don’t allow anything to remove you from God’s purpose and project. Loving you, the Lord has been patient, that you might complete the course proposed for you, without losing the faith. One day you will see the love that you were graced with.

It will not delay, but it depends on how you behave and what you imagine. After all, everything that has happened to you brings a lesson not to be forgotten, wasted or lost. Because of the apostle’s obedience, God still speaks to us today through the Word he wrote.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Lord! When you answered Paul, You were talking to everybody who came to You for an explanation about  the thorn in his flesh. We want to learn and to know Your grace, for it is sufficient unto us.

How can Your power be perfected in our weakness? Why not accept Your will as Paul did? Willingly he glorified in his weaknesses, so that the power of Christ would reside in him. Help us to understand this!

We have much to do in this world. You will pour an unparalleled revival, and due to this we have to understand Your purpose and submit ourselves to Your direction. That Your power may be perfected in us!
