Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.    James 1.21

The soul of most people – the part that relates to emotions and feelings – is not living, but it is vegetating and, in some cases, it is locked up in the hands of the enemy. Thus, we see many of them disappointed with everyone and everything, even in faith. They cannot be happy or fulfilled in life. However, the good news is that the Lord has already paid the price for their ransom and, now, they can break free from any ties.   

The secret is to incline your ears and go to Jesus. Incline your ear is to stop thinking that you know everything and, even more than God. Now, He exalts, at His time, those that humble themselves under His powerful hand – His Word. Man needs to wake up to the fact that ever since Adam´s sin, the crown of glory has fallen from his head. Therefore, start to spend some time and give due attention to the Scriptures. 

While you don’t stop and go to the Lord, and give Him your life and offering yourself as a servant, not much will change. It´s not enough to attend the services and pray, making use of what the religious men call it faith, which is nothing but presumption. Those who don’t go to Christ and are not born again will never have the joy and the power of the Kingdom of God flooding in their life. Examine and see if you are saved or not. 

The sign that you have met the Savior takes place by the force your soul now has when facing any adversity, and by the pleasure of singing praises to God during the good times. This serves as a measure of your surrendering to the Lord. Now, if you get upset when things don’t go well, or when you go through a trial, then you are still not saved. The person who received Jesus has different attitudes than those that are lost. 

The Most High made an eternal Covenant with humanity. In this Alliance, everything is different from the others He has made with mankind, including the so called Law of Moses. In the New Covenant, we don’t have to make the least sacrifice to deserve the divine blessings, but only believe in what the Scriptures say and take possession of them.  However, with your sad soul, you will never be able to serve God, for you will lack joy. 

However, once you are saved, God will grant you the art of doing good, so that you are never again defeated by the enemy and so that no evil spirit sent from Hell will remain standing before you. Thus, all your crisis will come to an end. It wasn’t by chance that David won all his battles. Since he had the art of doing good deep in his heart, he defeated all those who stood up against him. 

What will you do: be a religious or a doer of the Word? If you choose the second option, you will always be successful. However, if you keep on repeating prayers that you don’t even understand, then you will never be delivered from the art of doing evil that the devil has. From now on, become the blessing the Lord planned you to be.
