Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.  John 11.21

Martha told the Lord a truth, for no evil will happen to those who truly have Him at their side. However, we must recognize that we are not always firm, practicing the Word, and the enemy has made use of these breaches to attack us. If we walk in the spirit, we will not give any opportunity for the evil one to dominate us. This should be our procedure at all times.

Jesus ended with the animosity that separated us from the Father, and now, we can be always in communion with Him (Eph 2.13-16). This union happens with the understanding that comes by the Word. We can only receive gifts or blessing from the Lord when we have faith. We also should not walk by sight or feelings (2 Co 5.7). Whenever it comes to your heart the certainty that something is yours, take hold of it at that same instant.

After having faith and determining something to happen, believe that it will happen, and you will see the promise being fulfilled. If it were not possible to be blessed simply for asking something to the Lord, He would have taught us so. It does not matter if the blessing seems impossible. If God said so, He will fulfill it. 

The lack of Biblical understanding about what Faith can accomplish for those who believe leads many children of God to not make use of their potential in the Most High. Through the death of Christ, we were reconnected to the Father, and therefore, we cannot despise any of His revelations. Whatever may be tormenting or troubling your happiness, demand the evil to leave your life.

It is not enough only to believe that you are loved by God; it is necessary to do your part, which is to remain believing. God did not lie when He said in the Bible that we have died and were buried with Christ, resurrected with Him, and seated in the heavenly places (Eph 2.5,6). The Almighty is looking at you in order to see what your attitude will be. Therefore, be assured whenever you rebuke evil, for if you do so, you bring glory to the Lord.

Sometimes we say that we do not understand the reason why some things happen. However, Jesus said that everything that destroys, kills, or robs comes from the devil (Jo 10.10a). We do not have to repeat the words of other people, thinking that they explain evil things. We can be certain of one thing: God fulfills His promises. Therefore, believe: your time to do something has happened.

Jesus is never late. Martha told Him that if He had been there, her brother would not have died. However, saying so meant nothing, for he was dead already. Jesus affirmed that Lazarus would resurrect, and since she was not in the same spirit, she accepted it as a religious excuse. Then, the Master ordered him to leave the grave, and so it happened. Stop giving excuses and act.
