Lord, remember David and all his afflictions. Psalm 132.1

Some people only think about themselves, desiring to have material goods, being healthy and living in prosperity. These things are good, but they are given as an extension of the Kingdom of God and His justice, which must be sought in first place (Lk 12.31). Man is much needier than he thinks, and when his spiritual area is complete, all the other areas also are made complete.

David learned that he should ask the Lord to remember him. This type of prayer must be made by all those who put God in first place, so that they may receive all attention from the heavenly power. When the Most High calls someone for a special work, He will remember those who want to be used. Understand that the Father desires you to present yourself as a co-worker.

If God was going to choose someone in your congregation to make him a successful businessman, could He choose you? Would you be ready to be used? If He were choosing someone to contribute financially to the building of a church in another city, could He think of you? David wanted the Lord always to remember him. Does the same happen to you? Do you wish to be remembered by the Heavenly Father?

For David, any divine commandment should be obeyed. Everything that the Almighty said, he considered as a commandment, an order that he should follow. If you have the same feeling, be certain that the Most High will have you in His memory. Now, whoever is not faithful in what is least, will not be given much (Lk 16.10). Accomplish what God has given you to do.

When you see people selling their bodies in prostitution, having their bodies mutilated to become their opposite nature, or hurting themselves in drugs, what does your heart feel? When a weak person insinuates to have an extramarital affair with you, what is your reaction? Have you cared about the eternal destiny of the sinners or do you think that they really deserve to suffer in hell?

If the work of God, the destiny of the lost, the suffering of members of your family do not touch your soul, how will the Lord remember you in his work with humanity? The Father has not chosen a couple of people for them to be like an island of prosperity and happiness. Truly, He is seeking servants that desire to be instruments on His hands and to accomplish His purposes.

God wants to remind you, for your good, of all your trials. That is why he invites you to enter through the narrow gate and the difficult way (Mt 7.13). Through this way, you can be chosen by Him to do something that will benefit you for all eternity, through salvation.
