And certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons. Luke 8.2

After Jesus healed the woman with the flow of blood and resurrected the daughter of Jairus, He walked from city to city, town to town, announcing the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. Every day, more miracles happened, leading more people to seek the Master. As the ones that were healed told others what had happened to them, real faith was spread to other people. May the Christians nowadays have such a ministry!

The disciples walked with Jesus, and as they heard His words and saw Him being used to free the oppressed, heal the sick, and free all the people, they learned that in future years, they would be the ones fulfilling this divine calling. Our work must be the same as Jesus’. However, we do not always consider doing these things. Why do we waste the power that has been given us?

Many women that had been healed of evil spirits and diseases walked with Jesus. When a work is fulfilled according to the Lord’s teaching, we have as a result many people delivered of evil spirits and healed of infirmities. When the Kingdom of God reaches somewhere, the evil spirit is expelled. However, if we only teach religious matters, the Most High will not operate.

There are many individuals suffering of demonic oppression and possession because they do not know what their rights are. If they are not taught in the Truth, they will not be set free, even if they attend church. Faith for divine operations comes from hearing the preaching of the Word of God (Rm 10.17). Only the same message of Jesus can bring freedom to the people. There is no substitute for the genuine Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven.

The women described by Luke were healed because of the Word that they heard. Then, together with the apostles, they accompanied the Master. It was more than gratitude – it was true ministry. This revival is what my soul longs to see around the world. It is time for us to stop being religious, and truly practice the Scriptures.

Those who had possessions helped in maintaining the work. This must be repeated today. The work is enormous, and there are millions that are leaving for eternity every day without being saved. If we wait too long, many will be lost. But if we reach to where they are and bring them the true message, we will see in our midst the same miracles that happened in Jesus’ ministry. 

Those women did not only follow the Savior for being thankful, but as a mission that they had received to help spread the Good News. They reached an even higher position than the men could reach. In that walk, they learned every day how to put into action the power of God. Undoubtedly, their offerings were inspired by the Lord.
