For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. Psalm 36:9

First of all, be careful with doctrines originated from man and not in the Scriptures, for those are very dangerous.  What may be behind a prohibition or permission may be a terrible intent of the enemy to remove people from the presence of God or to prevent the Lord’s good from being found and enjoyed by all. Do not want to be holier than the holy standard prescribed in the Scriptures: if it should be so, God would have said so.

The same refers to any doctrine involving various aspects. Everything that man does beyond what was requested of him will be counted as pure loss. The danger in trying to exceed the command lies in the fact of some people having more perseverance and obtain results; however if this were necessary, the Word would have revealed it.  Jesus declared that He does not receive testimony from man (John 5:34). One must learn the requests of the Lord.

Seeking to understand the revelations of the Word is of utmost importance, because on having the Lord’s light shining in your heart, you will see it. Those who walk by day – in the revelation of the Almighty – do not stumble. It is better for us to pray to see the divine light – the purpose behind every commandment we receive. Otherwise, we will stumble and fall. But why walk at night?

When you see something not in the Word, you enter into a course that may be attractive or good to man’s eyes, but certainly has nothing to do with God’s will, and for this you will be spiritually destroyed. Everything that does not come from the Most High doesn’t serve for anything, not even to be analyzed and may even draw us away from our faith in Jesus. Do not relinquish anything from what the Lord has given you.

There is a doctrine, spread around the world by positive thinkers and so called motivators which has as its aim, man’s happiness. They make great effort to take their audiences to live well. The only problem is that they are serving the one who can transform himself into an angel of light. In truth, they benefit many people, but when they teach that it does not matter how you live, but that success is what counts, they deflect people away from the Truth.

When Jesus was about to complete His mission, the greatest of all time ever, the prince of the world came near Him (Luke 4:1-13). The devil also comes near those who serve the Lord, in order to distract them from obedience and therefore harm them. Satan should have nothing in you nor in those who propose to accomplish the divine plan. So don’t pay him any attention. Remain in the Light of the Lord.

You have access to the Fountain of living waters.  What else do you need then? Do you want to seek your blessings in broken cisterns?  There is nothing kept by the Lord which has not yet been revealed, that He has hidden from You or will not be given to you. As the word declares, in God’s light we will see light. Do we need any other source?
