24/07/2015 - NEVER BE NEGLIGENT

My sons, do not be negligent now, for the Lord has chosen you to stand before Him, to serve Him, and that you should minister to Him and burn incense. 2 Chronicles 29.11

Christians must be zealous in what they were called to do, for acting negligently will cause them many losses. Now, whoever despises the gift of God is undoubtedly despised by Him. How will the Lord feel in His heart when He looks at His children, reveals His will and gives them the tools to be successful, but sees them disregard His plan and do what they think best?

The instructions in the Word must be considered and received as commandments. Those who have judgment will use them in their prayers. Although revelations may seem impossible to be reached, the faithful servant will battle to make them become a reality. Those who are negligent will see that their attitude was not good, but many will see this when it is already too late.

The Bible gives a tip about how we should do the work when it says that David knew how to play (1 Sam 16.18). It is up to you and me to prepare ourselves to serve God with all our capacity, remembering that it comes from Him. Know this: whoever asks, receives; he who seeks, finds; and the door opens to he who knocks (Luke 11.10). Believe, and you will be helped by the Most High, for He always fulfills His promises.

People who do not execute His mission, as the Scriptures say, must be prepared, for the curses described in the Holy Book will come and reach them (Deut 28.15). Undoubtedly, many have suffered without need. The opportunities come, but some cannot even apply to them, for they will be disapproved.

Those who are zealous make the Lord have pleasure in them and exalt them, so that blessings come to them (Deut 28.1, 2). Having success in life or not is a matter of obedience. We only have this time to enjoy the Father’s blessings and honor Him. Therefore, we must strive and seek the Almighty’s help for it. Our way of living shows who we are.

There will be no one that will do evil to him who does what is good (1 Peter 3.13). If the Christian puts some effort to fulfill the divine will, it is already enough, for the power of God will grant the proper conditions. Certainly, the Most High did not make anything complicated. Therefore, decide to block all evil done by other people. If you are zealous to fulfill the commandments, nobody will be able to put their hands on you.

From now on, do not allow yourself to be labeled as negligent in the work of the Lord. May people write about you: “in all things, he was successful.” The simple, but most important attitude of not being negligent in the divine work will make you victorious in all things. The decision is only yours. It was not by chance that God said that David was a man after His own heart (Acts 13.22). What will He say about you?

In Christ, with love,

Omniscient Lord! It is good to know that if we follow Your instructions, we will be successful. We want to be zealous in fulfilling Your will, dedicating ourselves to learn how to do for your work to be perfect, as You have determined.

Young David learned since his youth that he could surpass his masters, the most experienced people, and those of his age, if he were careful to fulfill Your orders. If we do this as well, we will be seen by You, and therefore, our feet will not stumble.

We do not desire to be reached by the curses, but by Your blessings. Therefore, we need Your help. May we be able to conclude with honor the works that You have ordained us to do, in order for us to be considered faithful.
