06/06/2014 - OBSERVE THE BOUNDARIES

Judah’s leaders are like thosewho move boundary stones. I will pour out my wrath on them like a flood of water. Hosea5.10

Those who serve God should not act like the lost ones, who do not care about the limits for their actions. The saved ones should have another way of acting: always verifying if they are not surpassing boundaries, in everything they do. The divine commandments give us limits. Therefore, if we keep them, we will be rewarded with the revelations of the Word and will be protected against the enemy’s attacks. Then, we will live with full success.

When the Lord prohibits us to have some attitudes, which are normal and pleasurable for the wicked, He is keeping us from the evil operations that happen to those who practice such things. The things that the Lord hinders us from doing are kept from us for our own sake. The lost do not have the divine nature, are not guided by the Holy Spirit, so they are always attacked by Hell. Now, the sons and daughters of God are His pleasure, and He leads them in triumph (2 Co 2.14).

The princes of Judah saw no problem in moving the boundaries, but they were warned that if they did so, they would be tormented by the Lord’s wrath. Wouldn’t it have been better if they had accepted the boundaries that the Most High had set? However, they did not care about them. Consequently, they were taken to Babylon, in order to learn that they should not be careless about the divine resolutions. If they would have submitted to the divine orientation, they would not have suffered the Lord’s wrath.

If Joseph of Egypt – who apparently had no future, since he was sold as a slave – had not remained firm and holy, what would have been of him? He was desired by the wife of his lord, and if he would have had a relationship with her, he could have even had a good life in that house. But then, in the end, he would have had received the eternal condemnation (Gen 39.7-23). Even in the position of complete humiliation, he preferred to honor the Lord, who was preparing him for something great.

Do not turn back in your position as a child of God. The Lord is never evil to anyone. He knows what is best for your life, so he allows the trials to come in your life. Know that His grace is enough in every situation. The secret is: don’t rebel against the divine will, and don’t accept the suggestions of the devil (James 1.2-4). Be constant and unshakeable in what you have heard from God, for He is faithful to his promises.

If you do not trespass the boundaries that have been set for you, there will be an outpouring from the Lord´s grace over your life. Thus, you will be able to see that He chose you the best for you to have and enjoy. However, it was necessary to go through trials so that you would be able to receive what was prepared for you. Do not frustrate the Most High. Walk firmly towards the podium, for there is where He wants to see you.

In Christ, with love,

Most High God, what a privilege to be different from those who call themselves normal! The lost do not respect the boundaries of your commandments, but live captive and oppressed by the forces of darkness. But those who obey you are always led in triumph.

Thank you for the boundaries that you have set. Because of them, we can please you, separate ourselves from the evil one, and walk towards the celestial Canaan. Those who respond to the desires of the flesh get far from Your presence and walk towards the abyss.

Father! Keep us always. Do not let the enemy’s offers tempt us, but may Your grace be always given to us. In every step we take, we need Your love. Help us to respect the boundaries You have given us. Then, we will be able to please You.
