In mercy and truth atonement is provided for iniquity; and by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil. Proverbs 16.6

Though life on Earth is short, many people put much effort into living well. There are some who feel like they are great people, like in the story told by Jesus about a certain man. His heart was glad, for his crops had produced much, but in his madness, he did not remember to give praise to God. He planned for his soul to rest, eat, drink, and feast, for he had accumulated wealth for many years. However, he did not know that in that same night, his soul would be required (Lk 12.16-20).

We spend years increasing our academic knowledge, but little time in the most important preparation in life. Since young age, all should be taught to seek in the Bible the answers for their inquiries, the direction they should follow, and the respect of the Lord. However, this does not always happen. The result is that people give themselves to deviations of personality and character. Those who have money as their god are poor people.

It is true that a world of opportunities is opened to those who learn the culture of men and become wise in any branch of science. Those who do not study do not manage even a decent job. However, making culture or science your god is a serious mistake. The parents should always have services at home, and at least once a week, the leader should be someone sent by the pastor.

People who trust in God discover that there is a world of opportunities and of security that awaits for them. The reward for those who put their trust in the Lord will be great, and these people will become wise before Him. Thus, tragedies would be avoided, and even cases of child molestation would not happen if everyone truly followed the Most High.

May you never fall from your position in Christ. But if you do fall in an enemy’s trap, you will be freed by these two divine principles: the Lord’s mercy, which has no end (Lm 3.22), and the truth. These divine virtues will purify you from all evil that afflicted you, for they are available for everyone who is saved by the blood of Christ. Whoever knows the truth is freed by any evil involvement.

In respect to everything that God has placed in the Scriptures, the Christian can walk away from sin. Even if the temptation is incredibly strong, the fear of the Lord will give you strength for you to say no. Those who do not give due importance to what the Most High says discover that they become without the capacity of resisting to the attacks from evil. The devil knows that whoever does not fear the Most High is in his hands, and therefore, the way is open and free for him to put in practice his dirty purposes.

The orientations are given to us so that we may always apply them in our lives. Whoever forgets or despises what the Lord teaches him, will fall in the evil one’s traps in the moment of temptation, and later, will see how costly it is to get rid of shame. Follow the advices of the heavenly Father and see how you have been armored against the most powerful weapons of Hell.
