There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. Psalm 4.6

Since the prophecy in the Eden, when the Lord promised that the woman’s Seed would crush the head of the serpent, humanity waited for this day to come (Gen 3:15). Man could not support any longer to be under the authority of the evil one, being guided by the spirit of mistake and driven from one side to another, stumbling in sin and in bad behavior. Now, there is no reason why not to get things right with the Omnipotent God.

The prophets spoke about the coming of the Redeemer of humanity. He would come as the Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Marvelous Counselor (Is 9.6), in order to end with all the evil caused by the fall of Adam. The divine plan was in action, so that in the right time, the Messiah would be born from a virgin to fulfill what God had promised (Is 7.14). And this day came.

In between the lines of the Bible it is possible to notice that everything converged for the coming of the Son of God, when man would have free access to the Father (Mt 27.50,51). Now, there is no way how can someone be left on their own, subject to the power of the enemy, only waiting for God to “want” to deliver him. Today, people should not accept any suffering, for the Son of God came to set them free from the darkness.

Prophet Isaiah called Jesus the One from whom people hid their faces, for He had no beauty that we should desire him (Is 53.2,3). Besides, he was humble and knew that he had to fulfill the Lord’s whole plan when He surrendered to substitute us (Mt 27.46-50). He defeated the devil, took all our evil upon Him, suffered for our sins, diseases, and pains (Is 53.4,5). Therefore, do not accept your infirmity any longer, for by the wounds of Christ, you have been healed.

King David, someone who was used to be helped by the Lord in his battles, sighed when he understood that the Almighty would redeem mankind. Then, through the Spirit of God, he translated the question that we all make concerning who will show us good. The response is upon the Person of Jesus, who walked all around while He was here, doing what was good and healing the oppressed by the devil (Ac 10.38). Jesus is our Redeemer!

The son of Jesse understood that God had to exalt the light of His face over us, which means that the Most High had to open His Word in such a way that we would have no hindrances to take possession of what it announces. Therefore, do not do anything that hinders the divine power from fulfilling what has been announced. It is your responsibility to battle with the faith that has been given to you (Rom 12.3). The Lord expects that you might live victoriously.

Whenever you are in communion with Christ, you will see that everything that the Scriptures say has already been fulfilled in Him (Mt 5.17,18). Now it is your time to prove that you love the Lord, by keeping and fulfilling His commandments (Jo 14.21).

In Christ, with love,

Good Lord! Thank You for the fulfillment of Your promise, which came from the Seed of the woman. Besides all the good things You have done for us, you crushed the head of the serpent. This was already expected by humanity since the fall in the Garden of Eden.

If only one of the prophets had said so, it would already be enough for us to believe in the promise. But in fact, all of them spoke about it. The Redeemer came and died in our place, freeing us completely from the spiritual slavery of the kingdom of darkness.

David knew how to rest in the Lord, and with His Spirit, he asked who would show us good. It is sad to know that most people do not yet understand that in Jesus is the power to set them free now and to achieve eternal joy. Thank You, God!
