06/10/2014 - PAUL’S SUCCESSFUL MINISTRY

Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring how many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles. Acts 15.12

Our God is a miracle worker; he works signs and wonders. He has always acted in this way towards all those who believe in him and his Word, and who do not get involved with the tempter. As a result, his works are growing everywhere; they gather crowds of people who experience his great love. There is nothing better than following the examples given by the Lord Jesus, because they bring us light and do good.

Because he got converted many years after Jesus’ death, the apostle Paul did not have the pleasure of seeing Jesus ministering in person. Despite that, after learning that the Teacher had fulfilled the promises made in the Old Testament, Paul started to preach the gospel, and was used by God to do his complete works through him. You or anyone else can and must also believe that the Almighty God has a similar plan for your life.

The wonderful acts of the Lord that took place during Paul’s ministry among the Gentiles were not carried out because of Paul, as if there was something special in him. Actually, if Paul had not done what God had commanded him to do, nothing would have happened. For those who live in the “religious sameness”, nothing will ever change and you will end your days with empty hands. Today real servants of the Most High have at their disposal the same power that those in the past had.

When the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son to redeem mankind. That work is already accomplished; therefore the world is ripe for harvest, ready for the full message of the gospel (John 4.35). All those who believe in what the Word says and dedicates himself to do God’s will end up discovering that all they needed to do was believe in the fact that what God says will make his power work in the lives of the afflicted and sick. The glory of God will shine through those who believe.

The sentimental version of the gospel that many religious people insist on preaching, claiming that it is the good news that Jesus ordered to be preached everywhere, has nothing to do with the Teacher’s true commandments. The old cliché that we preach the gospel of prosperity is more groundless than ever. The truth is that what many people want is to preach the “bad news” of misery, defeat and sin, which floods and reigns in their non-born again hearts.

There is no substitute for the miraculous ministry of the kingdom of heaven. Where the full message of the gospel is announced in the power of the Holy Spirit, miracles, signs and wonders happen, leading many sinners to conversion. Why should we dilute the message to avoid “offending” someone, thus offending the Teacher? It is a very serious decision that those who oppose the Truth are making; they do not realize that the devil is guiding them.

When the gospel, with demonstration of the Holy Spirit and the power of God, is preached around the whole world (Matthew 24.10), the Lord will be back. It is the same gospel that Jesus preached which will witness the Father’s benevolence towards all people. Always obey the Most High and fulfill his orders. Flee from sin!

In Christ, with love,

Lord, your church must not create a new message to give to the people; it has to be the same message that Jesus brought and preached. Those who are fooled by the craftiness of others do not realize that they are obeying the devil, being therefore enemies of the cross of Christ.

Be with your servants who have understanding of the commandments given by you, Lord. They need to do like Paul, the apostle of the Gentiles, who was not ashamed of the gospel, since it is your power. This is the message that the world needs to hear.

We want to see your power work miracles, signs and wonders in our midst. We want to see your hand heal the sick, deliver the oppressed, and save sinners. Thank you, Father, because there is no substitute for the gospel—your power in action. Amen!
