But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 1 John 2.5

Our God does not have favorites or rejected ones. For Him, all human beings are important, and the Father loves them equally. There is no way how the Most High can consider some as more special and others with less relevance. He made us at His image and likeness (Gen 1.27), and because He is righteous and true, He could not attend some people in a way and others in a different way. The divine promises concern all people.

What makes us different is if we give attention or not to the divine Word. Those who obey the divine Word in the way they should, reach a special position in the spiritual world. This does not happen by the Most High’s decree, but because the Word makes this person special. In a certain way, we can compare this person to the electric force; if we turn on a lamp that is connected to a plug that has electric current, it is on; if not connected, it continues off.

The Scriptures start in this verse by saying: whoever keeps His word. This shows that we can make the difference. He who desires to be successful must keep and fulfill what is given to him as in a mission. Those who do not like or want to serve the Lord will be in much loss, for they will despise the Source of blessings. It may seem incredible, but even in the days of Jesus’ earthly ministry there were people that did not care about going to Him to receive true life.

Slowly, we start learning what we must do in the faith. Then, God’s love starts being perfected in us. The more we learn and act, more the divine love is perfected in us. For to everyone who has, more will be given (Mt 25.29) – this is a principle that will never be changed. The more you keep and fulfill the commandments, the more you will have of the Father’s love. You can have it perfected completely.

How good it would be if all would execute the divine orders, because then, we would all live better. If all would be practitioners of the Word, and fulfillers of its obligations, the world would see a group of people that are victorious in all senses. Then, there would not even be one bad element to cause us any suffering. Thus, those who accomplish the divine plan have the love of God perfected in them. This is how we know that we are in Jesus.

If the love of God is not perfected in us, it´s because we have not fulfilled the mission that He has entrusted us, and thus, we are not in Him. It is sad to see children of God that do not care about being in Jesus. Now, this is one of the guarantees that we may ask whatever we want and it will be done for us. How have you lived? Have you been in the Lord?

The Most High did not do anything complicated. For example, when He orients us not to commit adultery (Ml 10.19), He did it for our own good. The same goes for any other mistake, for instance with laziness, which has been the master of many people. We only have one time to find the Father in this life, and that time is now. Change the way that you serve God, so that His love may be perfected in you.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Sublime God and Father! With joy, we come to Your presence to thank You for the lesson we had in studying this verse. Now we know that we must fulfill the commandments that You have given us so that Your love may be fully perfected in us.

We must not spin our faith based on luck, so that we ask for everyone to pray for us. As Your children, we must have the dignity of those who know their position in Your family and put it into practice. We cannot allow the enemy to attack us with his poison.

We want to be in You. Therefore, we must do Your will. So we raise up in the Name of Jesus against our negligence of not accomplishing Your orders and not assuming our place in Your Son, Jesus. Help us to make our rights in You count.
