But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 Timothy 3:1

What we have seen in our day gives us the certainty that we are living through the laborious times mentioned by the apostle Paul. Every day we hear of terrible events all over the world. The will for power, religious fanaticism and the offerings of sin have made many people see their neighbor as the blind man who had the first touch of Jesus saw: as a walking tree (Mark 8: 22-25). We need the second touch!

The complete disrespect for human being and the open corruption serve as an incentive to those who have a penchant for crime. The Word of God categorically says that there is no one righteous, not even one (Romans 3:10). Many do not care to do good, for what they want is to enrich and say to their soul: You have many things in store for many years; rest, eat, drink and sleep (Luke 12:19).

Some citizens believe that just as there is no punishment for corrupt authorities, nothing bad will happen to them. Christians have to set an example, refusing evil offerings and taking on only those of the Lord. Beware, because the Bible declares: God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap (Galatians 6:7) . Fear the Lord and be blessed.

We have heard that, at various levels of government, a law is only approved if there is any “liking.” In private and philanthropic companies or social organizations, it is heard that those who do not bribe cannot sell their product. We see people who, instead of being grateful to their friends, betray them with greatest ease. Many individuals who owe their lives to someone are not afraid to act wrong just for profit or pleasure. Mercy!

If there is disturbance of order, violence and other practices that make even the most skeptical of the good to be disturbed, there is a operation of demons. Anyone who accepts something from the devil will pay a high price and lose the divine operations in his life. Then, realizing that you have made the wrong decision, you will have to repent and convert to the Truth if you want to enjoy the Lord’s goodness.

When Scripture warns about something, it will certainly happen. It is essential to be prepared not to be frightened by the arrival of hard times. Many will be scandalized to the point of losing faith. In warning us, the Lord is directing us to be on our guard, for these things will happen as they are programmed, but He will give us the escape. After all, He is our heavenly Father.

In these difficult times, men will be lovers of themselves, haters of God and enemies of the cross of Christ (2 Timothy 3: 2; Romans 1:30, Philippians 3:18). However, we must not fear this period nor let our heart be startled, because the mercy of the Lord will surround us and help us out of all evil deeds. Do not forget that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is with us!

In Christ, with love,

Oh God! There is no reason to fear tomorrow if You are with us always. You've promised never to leave us. That is why, even though all abandon You, our commitment is with You!

We do not want to participate in this addiction that dominates almost all of society, of being in the wide door, receiving bribes and acting with betrayals. We reject extra profit and pleasure out of marriage, for You have called us to eternal happiness!

Remove from us the disturbance of order, violence, and other practices that make even skeptics upset. Destroy every operation of demons in our midst. You are the only One who can make us see the good of Heaven. Forgive us of our sins!
