Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Psalm 3.1

Despite the fact that his adversaries were multiplying, David´s heart did not shake. Just like the king, the children of God must strengthen themselves in the Word of the Lord, so that, when trial comes, they don’t take any decisions that bring shame to the Master. Remember: He called you to take part of a group of witnesses of the Truth that are scattered by Him throughout the world. 

If God were not with David, one enemy would be enough to finish with his life. That is why, he believed that, if he fought with a person or a multitude, the Lord would take care of him. Whoever is kept safe by the Most High must not be frighten with the threats of the enemy. Even if a thousand fall on our side and ten thousand at our right hand, we will not be struck (Psalm 91:7). 

During persecution, if the lying enemies say all evil against us, we have to rejoice (Matthew 5:11). Without a doubt, if we were no threat to the devil, he would not rise up to provoke us. The person who goes through such process because of righteousness must rejoice. But whoever is contrary to the faith in Christ needs to stand against the servants of God. However, at the same time, there are millions of individuals that love them, and therefore, intercede for their lives. Nothing that the enemy attempts against the chosen of the Lord will prosper. 

The timid or the cowards get desperate with Satan´s threats, but those that believe in God rejoice. Our trust must always be in He who never denied His Word nor failed to fulfill what His lips uttered. The Lord will do whatever is necessary for His plan not to be frustrated or prevented. After all, one of the blessings that faith in Jesus gives us is boldness. 

In verse 6 of Psalm 3, David affirmed that he was not afraid, even if tens of thousands were against him. The God we serve will never forsake us, for He is Lord in all situations. In times of persecution, the right thing to do is to give Him the control of His work, our life and rest. Nothing that does not come from divine will, will take place in the life of those who serve Him. 

Your position before your adversaries is very important, for, if you become desperate, you will not have the conditions to trust the Lord, and consequently, you will not hear Him anymore. Your decision shows what type of faith you have. The son of God must be bold as a lion!
