04/10/2015 - POWER TO ACT IN HIS NAME

But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, and of Your own we have given You. 1 Chronicles 29.14

The Scriptures say that our God has given us authority to accomplish several works (Mk 16.15-18). However, since we do not examine the Word, we live as if the Lord had never done so. One day we will have to be accountable for everything that we did with the power that was entrusted to us. If we do not duplicate this talent, we will be thrown in the darkness (Mk 25.26-30).

David recognized that the power he received to prosper and to offer in God’s house came from the Lord. He admitted that the Most High anointed him for battles, strengthened his hands, and went before him to give him victory. The Eternal One conceded him the capacity to run against a troop and leap over a wall (Psalm 18.29). The Sovereign One prepared his hands to bend a bow of bronze (Psalm 18.34).

One of the most beautiful declarations about the power that we receive is in John 1.12. According to this text, those who accept Jesus earn the right to be called children of God. The new convert must prohibit the devil from tempting him, touching him, or leading him to sin. Therefore, every one that belongs to the Kingdom of God must be taught clearly about his responsibilities.

The prosperous people must be oriented to seek the anointing from High, in order for them to enjoy what has been given to them. Just as He concedes the gift of abundance and of offering, He also allows us to enjoy that which we receive. When the Word of God says that the Lord’s blessing enriches, you must believe, because through salvation, you were given the capacity of obtaining more than you had before you were saved.

The Master talked to the 70 disciples after they told Him how many things they had done in His Name, telling them that they had the power to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the forces of the enemy (Luke 10.19). Nothing – absolutely nothing – would cause them any harm. In the Name of Jesus, we have the authority of healing the sick and casting out demons. To Him be the glory!

Christ guaranteed that after being baptized in the Holy Spirit, the saved person would receive power to be His witness. With this heavenly capacitation, you can do the same works that He did. Thus, strive to reach the Holy Spirit’s seal. In this way, you will be a blessing for all society. 

At last, once you understand that Christ has made you a king and priest (Rev 1.6), you will see that your word has power. Whenever you act in the Name of the Lord and a difficult situation comes, do not fear! When you give your order, no one will go against you. In the spiritual world, it is written that you have such permission.
