25/06/2015 - PREPARE YOURSELF FOR BATTLE

He put on righteousness as his breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on his head; he put on the garments of vengeance and wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak. Isaiah 59:17

The picture Isaiah makes of the Lord is what God wants to see in you. Jesus did not run from the battle, He was not taken by pessimism nor did He “throw the towel”. He did not give up on the battle until He won it completely. Every servant of the Most High must be dressed with dignity, filled with the anointing from High and ready to face the opposition or attacks of the enemy. The purposes of the Father are always accomplished in the life of those who believe Him.

Your greater goal must be to be clothed with righteousness. More than struggling to obtain peace, prosperity and health, you must live in the fullness of blessings, so that people “read” the Word of God in you. Your character and other expressions must show everyone else, that you truly are born again of Water and the Spirit (John 3:5). Don’t be a mere religious.

The work accomplished by Jesus on Calvary is the best garment to be used, for it covers us with the capacity to not walk spiritually undressed, it guides us to say no to the evil forces and it strengthens us in order to proceed as Jesus. Besides, our existence here must be marked by God´s operations; for this, we receive the garments of vengeance. We cannot allow the traps of the enemy to oppress any person.

The sloppy do not know how much they lose, for they will never succeed in battles; on the other hand, those clothed in righteousness will be victorious. The power of God lies in the garments of vengeance; that is why we cannot occupy ourselves with matters that are not considered as the vengeance the Lord wants to execute, although they are sought by most people.

Our actions when aligned with the will of the Most High are acts of righteousness, which serve as breastplate, the real shield of the Christian (Eph 6:14). In this case, we must be fearless and not display any terror before Satan´s threats. Sin must be despised by us, children of God, and nothing can catch our attention no matter how interesting it might be. The Christians goal is to always please He who has enlisted you.

Your zeal, which must be used as a cloak in very cold days, shows your love for God´s work. Grab on to this zeal and consecrate yourself to the Lord until your last day on Earth. Run away from all temptation, and don’t be influenced by the devil´s offers. After all, you were called to be a blessing and represent the Almighty (John 15:16).

Your cloak of power depends on how much you get involved in it and how much you love the Lord. Your caution for the divine work must be so big, to the point of destroying your personal wishes; then, you will experience God´s best. Have as the goal of your life to have the presence of the Father surrounding you fully. Thus, He will be with you.

In Christ, with love

Lord, Warrior of excellence! We want to meet You like You are shown in the Holy Book, according to how Isaiah pictured You, and how You truly are. After that, we need to dress ourselves with the garment of righteousness, which is what Christ accomplished for us on the cross of Calvary. Help us!

Oh God, we cannot become religious, followers of men´s doctrines, which are products invented by man and that lead us nowhere. We have Jesus´ sacrifice as our parameter, and when we believe in Him, we will fight the hosts of evil.

We do not want to be sloppy or lack wisdom, nor get fooled by the adversary´s lies. We need to believe in what You have done for us, thus we will be dressed with the best garment. We have the obligation of being victorious.
