22/07/2014 - PRIORITY NUMBER ONE: RENOUNCEMENT

So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. Luke 14.33

There isn’t anyone in the world who wouldn’t like to be Jesus’ disciple. I believe that even the person who is a nonbeliever, if it was given him an opportunity to be a learner of the Lord, he wouldn’t think twice. But when he knows the priority number one to become a disciple, he would give up. Those who don’t forsake everything they have don’t learn from the Master. Try as they might, the capacity to learn from the gentle one of Nazareth is not given to them.

The man has inside himself many dreams – some good, some bad – and, if he wants to take part of the privileged group who learns with the Lord, he has to renounce, to abandon his plan completely. When we realize about this demand, we think we need to renounce material things and dreams we nourished the entire life. The day I was called to preach the Word, I cried out: “The world has lost a doctor, and You won a preacher”.

I want you to know that the renounce continues every day. Numerous commercial opportunities come to me. However, because I was prepared by the Omnipotent to do according to His will, I always say no; otherwise, I would be working in many areas. Our dreams include not only good things, but also bad things. Those who nourish any desire, even the most secret one, if they want to be qualified, they have to renounce everything.

Our dreams disturb our resignation, since they have the power to turn away from the plans of the Lord; so, they have to be abandoned definitely. It doesn’t mean we don’t prepare ourselves intellectually, we don’t go to schools or we live without any responsibility, but, yes, we mustn’t have preconceived or determined ideas. The candidate to be a disciple must always be available.

There are those who think that their marriage isn’t the best, therefore they spend their whole life expecting their partner to pass away or betray to get a divorce in order to marry someone considered to be ideal, which can complete their happiness. Besides being greedy and dishonest, it will prevent you from being happy with your better half. It is crucial to forsake this thinking.

We have to renounce everything we have, even the good purposes; on the contrary, we can’t be disciples of the Master. As little as your personal desire can be, whether it is holy or sinful, if you really wish to be accepted in the school of the Lord Jesus, renounce it. Only the one who is completely uncovered of himself is overlaid by the Lord.

The future of the disciples will be graceful. Here on Earth, they will be taken to many experiences that will make them complete. But afterwards, in eternity, they will keep taking part in the group of the Lord and will see many millions of times that it was worth assuming the simple things to become disciple, since they weren’t restrained from entering into the Kingdom of Light.

In Christ, with love,

Wonderful Lord! Truly, we can’t do anything without You. Even when renouncing everything, which is a crucial demand to be Your disciples, we need Your help. We need to be uncovered of ourselves to be overlaid by You.

Without any doubt, Your plans are important for each of us. Although we don’t know them completely, just because they come from You we are delighted. Today, I ask for everyone who read this article to understand that it is essential to renounce what they have – good and bad things.

Thank you for what you will do for us. Inside Your Word there is the necessary power to do what You say. Therefore, may this power start to work in us, giving us power to abdicate what is needed. We renounce all our dreams and desires.
