The Lord will preserve him and keep him alive, and he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.  Psalm 41.2

There are two kinds of children of God: those who please Him, called righteous in the Bible, and those who are wicked, who do not do His will. When the righteous understands, through the Word, that something is wrong, he never practices it again. The wicked, however, does not care about the Scriptures, and his attitude leads him to live stumbling all the time. Thus, he is not able to get rid of the problems.

The choice about who we will be is made according to the proposals we receive. The Lord allows us to be tempted, but He does not tempt anyone. Whoever lives in the presence of the Father does not fall in any trap. The pleasure of the righteous is to abhor evil and please God. Thus, he is known by the way he lives, walking victoriously. Now the wicked is attacked by difficulties and does not understand that he could be more than a conqueror.

People always go through many tribulations. The wicked is never firm in the Scriptures, and that is why he does not experience the Most High’s good will. He lives in desperation, for he is driven by pessimism. Obviously, he could be firm in the faith, but since he does not love the Most High – knowing and keeping His commandments (Jo 14.21) –, he gets to the conclusion that it is not worth believing and serving Him. Therefore, he is never preserved in life.

The righteous should not be overtaken by fear, and his Faith should make him bold and obedient to the Lord. If it seems like there is no way out for an adverse situation, it will only be the appearance. Even if he is thrown in a furnace that is seven times warmer than normal, as it happened with the young men in the Bible (Dan 3.19), he will recognize the presence of the Omnipotent with him, and will leave that place without one strand of hair burnt.

The promise for the righteous is to be blessed. In the Good News, there are all kinds of promises to supply the need of those who trust in the Lord. God’s honor will make Him fulfill everything that He guaranteed. Satan’s victory happens when he drives the righteous to be discouraged from walking by faith, for he will retreat. However, the battle was won by Jesus in His death, and therefore, the righteous does not give up his rights.

The Land of Promise – the Gospel – has everything that the saved need. The Word of the Lord is medicine from the Heavens, so that is why you must assume what is revealed for you. The wicked, on his turn, will never be healed. Do not be influenced by the enemy’s lies, because if you do so, you will be filled with doubts, and the forces of evil will drive you towards complete defeat. Remember that the words of Christ will never pass (Luke 21.33).

Take heart! The Most High guarantees that the righteous will never be surrendered to the enemy’s will. The devil can even threaten you, but if you do not fear, he will not be able to strike you. Trust in what the Lord says; if you do so, the evil threat will not even frighten you. Your position before every temptation must be of someone who believes in God.

In Christ, with love,

Lord of Promises! We thank You for making us righteous in Christ. It is so beautiful to practice justice. Thus, besides being delivered, we will be preserved in this life. Help us to never assume wickedness, even if it seems like we have motives for it.

In the Gospel, the true Land of Promise, we will serve Your with joy and willingness, and therefore, we will be blessed. You will never surrender us to the enemy’s will. May we know how to make the true choice!

You always drive us safely, leading us in Your arms, so that we may fulfill Your will. Thank You for doing everything for us to please You in all our ways. Beloved God, our lives are to serve You.
