26/08/2014 - PUTTING NEW WINE INTO OLD WINESKINS

Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance. Luke 8.1-3

If we follow the Lord Jesus’ example, we will not try to reform any religious organization. There is not in the Bible any orientation from God to fight to preserve the name of a specific church. In Heaven, there will be no religion with its goods, but only people that are born again. This shows us that our love for the Lord must be greater than the name of a denomination that we belong to.

Pay attention, I am not preaching disobedience to the leadership of the churches. In fact, the ministries that come from the Lord and are faithful in serving Him, are kept and protected by Him (Ps 97.10). However, when the Most High calls someone for a new mission, if his church despises the divine direction, this person must remember that the new wine must be put into new wineskins.

Jesus did not choose any of His disciples from the group of Jewish priests. He called ordinary people, like the women described by Luke, in order to help Him to spread the Gospel. Imagine if a Jewish priest had been chosen as an apostle! Would this person have disagreed with the Lord about His message? It is very likely that he would. As the Master gave us the example in everything, it is good to follow him in this too.

Mary Magdalene, who was also part of His group, had been possessed by seven demons. Only God knew what this woman did before she had been freed and saved. However, afterwards, as a new creature, she was able to follow the Master’s “caravan” and help in the mission. Everyone else that has also had a wrong life, but were saved and chosen by the Lord for His ministry, are ready to be used by the Most High.

Many candidates for the ministry reach their position only because of human motivation. In some cases, it is even with demonic motivation. These people give a terrible testimony, and can become the cause for many to be led astray and never want to hear the Lord again. For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes (Mt 18.7)! The servants of God must be 100% freed from offenses.

If you still have in your heart a sin that you do not want to confess, and if you feel very strong sinful and wicked desires – and sometimes you practice them – seek help from a man of God. Do not let the devil continue to dominate you.

From Mary Magdalene, Jesus expelled seven demons. If only one of them had remained in her heart, the evil spirit would be the lord of her life, and she would obey him. You must be completely freed so that the devil does not use you, but so that the Lord uses you.

In Christ, with love,

Sovereign and only God! May we never forget that we do not have to reform a work that should not be reformed. We must follow the Lord’s examples. How many have been enlightened by You, but because they loved something else, despised the example given by Your Son!

Therefore, Lord, since they despised Your calling, many have lost themselves, and will not find excuses for their irresponsibility. When the church becomes political and men try to keep themselves in power, it is time for people to start obeying You.

Father, many will say that they do not agree with me, and possibly, some might accuse me of trying to destroy your work. However, what is truly Your work will never be destroyed, Lord! Help us to obey You always and completely.
