16/04/2016 - RACHEL THE SHEPHERDESS

Now while he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with her father’s sheep, for she was a shepherdess.  Genesis 29.9

Although she was young and pretty, Rachel went out along with her father´s workers, for she was a shepherdess. That made her even more beautiful, for, once her inner being was pretty; her exterior reflected what happened in her heart. All people should take care of the Father´s sheep; however, the divine touch is not always noticed and, many times, the ambition for many things causes them to miss the best of life. Remember that the decision you make now will reverberate throughout all eternity.

Jacob´s steps were guided by the Lord until he found the woman his heart would love. Young people should not be in a hurry to get married with someone just to have a family and live the good things of marriage. They need to pray and follow God´s directions. Then, when they prepare the work outside, and make it fit for themselves, they will be able to build a house (Prov 24:27). Any marriage where God is not the Lord can come to a ruin (Ecc 4:12).

If she had remained at home and was not a woman of decision, she probably wouldn’t have been shown by the Lord to Jacob. Those that serve the Most High cannot be shy, for the Word says they will inherit the Kingdom of God (Rev. 21:8). Those who are still not delivered from being shy and allow the enemy to deceive them are committing a serious misconduct, for they are not qualified to be used by the Most High. The son of God has to be bold as a lion (Proverbs 28:1).

Those that take care of the Father´s sheep prove they love Him, and because of that, they are loved by Him. Young Rachel was like this, pretty, full of life and disposition, and she was not reluctant in obeying God and being out on the field. Do not hide behind Hollywood´s cliché´s nor make it look like you lack good judgment. God will not be able to use such people, unless they go through the transformation process of salvation (Jo 6:63).

Rachel´s destiny changed when she found the chosen one of the Lord. However, if she had given herself to any other man, certainly God would not have taken her to meet the one who would be a pillar in the construction of the divine family. Be different from the other women, and do not allow anyone to touch you, except on the wedding given to you by the Most High. Paul spoke about the women filled with sin and who were a shame in their days (2 Tim 3:6). This is valid for both men and women.

Whoever you are, seek to present yourself approved before God, like a worker who has nothing to be ashamed of and who handles the Sword of the Spirit very well – the Word of Truth (2 Tim 2:15). Then, like Rachel, be a shepherdess of the celestial Father, leading all those He gives you to have the understanding of the Truth. Many people need to drink from the Water of life and feed from the Bread of life through your life. Your reward will be great here and much greater in eternity.

In the heavenly records it is registered that Rachel represented our salvation. What is written or will be written about you? Why love the world, if the love of the Father will leave you if you do that? Why despise that which will give you eternal happiness? Wouldn’t this be a good time to pray and take a firm position in life? The Lord awaits your decision!

In Christ, with love,

Caring Father! Perhaps, many people wondered what was going on with the beautiful young Rachel, but You knew that Your fear was in her as well as a desire to be someone before You. When the opportunity presented itself, she was ready to say yes.

Jacob felt that before him was a person who was there to love him and be loved by him.  He was deceived by his father-in- law, but he did not give up his dream and served him during 14 years in order to conquer his beloved one. Lord! We have not even dedicated a short time in prayer to have the blessing that we need.

May this reader of mine seek to come before You, approved as a worker, because, otherwise, what will he have from You, since he does not follow Your instructions? There is so much in You, that, most assuredly, would make of us a blessing. Help, us, God!
