Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; In You I take shelter. Psalm 143.9

The secret to be free of your enemies is to take refuge in the Lord, which is what happens to those who listen to Him and trust in the direction that was revealed in the Word. That is how the servants of God lived during biblical times, like Abraham, who faced the four kings that dominated Sodom and the city-estates that surrounded it with only 318 servants born in his house (see Genesis 14). The truth is that those who trust in Him never fear.

Those who shelter themselves in the Most High don’t have any worries about any evil threats, because they know that, once inside the indestructible safety, they will never be found by the devil. There is no way the enemy can strike those that are protected by God, because he cannot come close to the Consuming Fire, which is our Father. However, those who don’t truly trust the Omnipotent will suffer the enemy’s attacks.

The devil makes use of many tricks to disturb us, because his purpose is to lead us away from God’s path. He knows that, if we remain in Christ, not only will we be in the “blessed by the Father” group – those who will be invited to possess the kingdom prepared since the foundation of the earth -, but we will also be a great and dangerous obstacle for his plans, which is to destroy many lives.

Some people do not pay attention to the Word and remain in religious doctrines, thinking that, this way, they are safe from the enemy; however, that is not what the Scriptures reveal. It says that only in the Lord will we find shelter against the enemy’s attacks and that it is useless to trust in man or in the promises that he makes (Jeremiah 17:5). Against the forces of hell, only in the Lord is it possible to find protection. 

You can easily tell that a Christian is not involved in the work of God by his lack of interest and his lack of strength to claim the biblical promises. How sad is it to see someone enjoy life as if the Gospel was just a religion! It’s necessary to consecrate ourselves just as the Bible teaches us, giving real importance to the faith in Jesus; otherwise, it will be impossible to receive orientations from God to escape from the enemy’s traps. This way, whenever there is an attack, those who are not prepared will suffer the damage. 

To seduce the children of Light, Hell sends all kinds of demons with the mission to lead them to commit immoral sins, like prostitution and its variaous levels of impurity and dishonesty. One simple careless act, like not being vigilant and praying, or by accepting some type of fear, is already enough for people to go cold in their faith. It is easy to undo the works of the enemy against our lives: just follow the Holy Scriptures.

If you want to be victorious over temptations, don’t submit yourself to the lies of the evil one and, at the same time,  remain steadfast in your faith and don’t allow anything to shake your trust in God; At the first sign of demons approaching, stand firm on what you’ve already learned in the Word, paralyze all evil  and order it to get out, in the Name of Jesus
