Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion! For He has strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you. Psalm 147:12, 13

The Holy City and the church are urged to praise the Lord, for the work He has done for us is worthy of our recognition. When we praise God, we register the benefit we have received; therefore, those who do not learn to acknowledge the goodness of the Father surely cannot see the greatness of what belongs to him. Amongst the wonders the Lord has done for us, we can point out the inviolableness of our gates to the blessings as well as the interior blessing that reaches out to our children.

Just like the Almighty who holds many gates through which we must enter with thanksgiving (Psalm 100:4), we were also created with many gates. The truth, in the physical aspect, each cell of our body has it´s access, which must be closed to the onslaughts of the enemy. Each time that you feel the evil is afflicting you, trying to invade your mind, do not hesitate in closing the entrance to the evil.

There are people that report that they did not consume any liquor; but on a certain day, during a party, someone offered them an alcoholic beverage. In order not to seem disrespectful, they give it a try and after they enjoyed the drink, they become addicted. The same thing has happened to people who get involved with drugs, prostitution and other wrong practices. So then, be vigilant, trust in what the Lord God says He did on your behalf. Once you realize there is temptation surrounding you, immediately block that gate.

The Creator made man complete, with the locks of his gates working perfectly; in fact, man originally had power over the forces of evil – over the birds of the air (Genesis 1:28). Yet, when he sinned Adam opened the gate to the enemy, and with the entrance of death – Satan´s nature – in our world, these locks became useless. However, now the Lord tells us that these locks where strengthened.

Your gates are ready to resist all attacks of the demon. So then, in order to close them, we need the keys, which have also been made available to us. Jesus assured us that we have this power when He said:  whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed[d] in heaven (Matthew 16:19). It is up to you to close the fates so that the evil will not enter your life.

The Lord also says that He will bless your children within you. God´s sanctuary is in your heart, and that is where He grants you power in order to deliver your descendants – children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren etc. So, do not allow the enemy to overwhelm your children in drugs, prostitution and other sins. You have brought your children to this world to be blessed, and not to serve the devil. Get ready, for you will be used to deliver your entire family.
