Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Psalm 150.2

God does not receive honor from man. Jesus said this (John 5:41). In this message, we will see the importance of blessing the Most High as He is due. Man was created in perfect form, and was a partner to the Omnipotent in giving names to every creature (Genesis 2:19). After the fall, we have lost our privileges, and now we cannot give praise to the Lord with our own strength. We need the divine help even for that!

The praise that the Most High can receive from us must originate in Him, and certainly brings us many benefits. Besides, our praise must exalt His mighty acts – we cannot do so without the heavenly help. This happens because the connection between God and the human being was broken when Adam sinned. Therefore, if there is not a touch from Heaven, it is impossible to give something to He who is perfect.

God’s work to redeem man from sin is powerful.  It shows His great mercy, since it puts us back to the place where we were before the fall. Now, we can walk with Him in fellowship, because we are already walking towards the Promised Land. Jesus’ last order was to preach the Good News to everyone (Mark 16:15). Those who believe will be saved and will receive the capacity to praise the Lord.

The healing of the sick is also a powerful act. In a blink of an eye, it happens perfectly, without anyone being able to find a fault or say that it was something exaggerated. The body of the healed person testifies of His grace. There is no fault that can be found and no other way that the blessing can be more complete. The Almighty is perfect in all of His actions (Psalm 18.30).

There are various holy and true motives that lead us to praise the Creator and Father: deliverance from an accident, solution of a serious problem, or a matter that we need to sort out and find a solution. Even knowing about these things, our worship will not have the power to please Him who lives in the light. Thus, we need to ask for His help so that we exalt Him in a good and pleasing way.

Praise is accepted when it is done according to the excellence and greatness of the Omnipotent. However, this is impossible to the human being. After the fall in the Garden of Eden, we were left with no conditions to exalt Him accordingly. Praise can be seen as the fellowship between two beings of the same species and conditions, but in different positions: He has everything, and we have nothing. However, God equals the positions while He helps us.

The Most High guides us to glorify Him for His powerful deeds, as well as for His capacity, so that we may have total fellowship with Him. From that, we extract everything we need to be fulfilled. Therefore, ask direction to the Lord, and by faith, act and interact with Him.

In Christ, with love,

Lord of excellence! Man cannot praise You if You do not help him. We are grateful for Your wonderful acts. You are tremendous in everything. However, those who are lost will not be able to praise You.

We need Your guidance to speak about what You fulfilled through our ransom from the kingdom of darkness. What a wonderful work You have done for man, providing deliverance and forgiveness! Halleluiah!

We thank You for Your love by sending Your Son to die in our place, with the intention to redeem, heal, and give us abundant life. There is no fault in any of Your deeds. This proves that You are worthy of our worship.  Amen!
