Who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God and are contrary to all men, 1 Thessalonians 2:15

The worst thing that can happen to a person that serves God is to allow the devil to place his lies in his heart.  Consequently this person does not do the work that needs to be done and behaves like a lost person.  Eventually this person begins to think like the lost and quickly becomes a menace to the faith.  Finally, no matter how hard she tries, she is unable to get straight again with the Father.

Although she does not want to go to Hell she lets herself be fooled by the enemy through the fact that she no longer feels the presence of the Lord.  In due time, thinking that the Lord is not as severe as He is, this person turns into a religious being.  When praying she cries. When speaking of God she talks softly. However, deep down, she knows that all that is just lip service – empty meaningless words.

Why not return to the Source of Living Waters, the One who can forgive and transform your life and your character? Being drawn far away from the Most High, it is likely that you are covered with bad things. The religious fools himself expecting God to change and allow man his own indulgences and pleasures even though this attitude is clearly condemnable. The working of error in a person leads one to behave and act contrary to the Holy Scripture. Resist and flee from religiosity.

The right thing to do is to obey the Word, repent of your sins, confess them and restart again a new life with faith in Jesus Christ. With the advent of the end times, the devil knowing he has very little time left, lies more and more, using all his cunning to persuade the saints that there is no problem in compromising and doing things contrary to the Holy Scriptures.(Revelations 12:12) When the spirit of religiosity overtakes someone, that person becomes dangerous.

The Jewish leaders killed our Lord out of pure envy and fear of losing their position in their society. They knew that Jesus was the Son of God; that worked and wrought miracles; however, He constituted a threat to them, as the people preferred to follow Him. In this manner and very shortly the synagogues were emptied, removing their source of income. Sadly the same thing happens today as in those days.

Saul of Tarsus felt a deadly desire against Christ’s followers, but why? The sick were healed, and this did not happen in Judaism. Sinners were saved, and there was no record of any life being transformed in a synagogue. Saul wanted to eliminate all good from existence because neither he nor his peers were used to generate or cause those wonders. This man’s rage against the Truth had its origin in the devil.

For vile motives these men stoned Stephen and after some years, Paul too and left him only because they believed him to be dead. The apostle was dragged through the streets of the town and left fallen and almost lifeless. As he was surrounded by the disciples, Paul rose up (Acts 14: 19,20). To those pious religious leaders, it was necessary and logical to kill in order not to lose their followers.

In Christ, with Love,

Lord! We need Your special manifestations as happened with Saul, with Peter in jail and as happens today with brothers that live in countries where bad religious leaders have control.

Have mercy on those that persecute, on those that have no restrictions in killing Your servants whether adult or children. Look at our brothers and sisters spread throughout the world, where there is no law or desire for justice. Help them!

Deliver those who have already served You but have fallen to sin, as they were weak and were drawn to the lies of the enemy. Today they regret and repent but are ashamed to return to You. Deliver them from the hands of the devil. Amen!
