15/05/2015 - SAVED BY GRACE

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.  Ephesians 2.8

Salvation is excellent because it does not come from man, it is a gift from God; thus, it is a perfect and good work. There is nobody who after experimenting the salvation and reaching the forgiveness of sins, says that he was deceived. Those who gave themselves to sin and let themselves be led by the lies of the enemy regret having lost it. Even the unbelievers wait that the Lord might be kind enough to save them from the Last Day.

God sent His grace in order to conquer us for the Truth and give us eternal joy. Besides being an undeserved favor, it is a divine act in favor of our lives, and therefore, it is perfect in its essence and powerful in its mission. Those who let it operate in their lives discover its value by the benefit it concedes them. It is over all people; however, it will be worthless if people do not submit to the Lord.

The only way that the divine grace operates in someone’s favor is by faith, which is a gift by God to those who listen to His Word. Faith is the certainty that comes to the heart when we pay attention to what the Lord says. All the blessings that are given, including salvation – the greatest work of the Omnipotent in us – are given by grace and through faith. Without grace, we are nothing; with it, we are what we are.

Even if the devil might be determined and angry to destroy us, he is not able to avoid the grace of God from reaching and freeing His servants. Even if the evil one might use someone in the most wicked way, if this person listens to the Word and receives it inside of him, in a fraction of a second, faith will enter his heart, and with the grace that is already over him, at that same instant, he will be delivered if he cries out to the Father for salvation and forgiveness.

Right after the moment when we are saved, the grace of God starts to reign in us. It makes us feel freed, forgiven, and pure. Then, he who did not have faith in the Lord, or that did not have courage to pray to Him, may ask, and Jesus will baptize him with the Holy Spirit. After that, he becomes truly saved and a blessing to all others. The divine grace will never fail, and in the Great Day, it will present us to the Great King.

I define grace as the power of God in action and in man’s favor. Once he receives it, it will never again leave him. This spiritual state will make you walk in the midst of sin and the forces of darkness without being struck. Thus, the divine promises will be confirmed to you, your ministry enlarged, and you will start to do things that you never thought that were possible, fulfilling your calling.

Everyone should assume this gift from God, for it is the only way of abounding in good works. If you do so, you will be a valuable servant, and whenever the enemy tempts you, you will soon notice and leave that evil temptation without any feeling of guilt. The value of grace is immeasurable, but it is through faith that it operates all things in us and through us.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Oh God! How beautiful it is to know a little about Your grace! Thus, we learn that there is no way to lose the battle of salvation and holiness. Lord, the enemy insists in tempting us, for he desires to rob from us the eternal life besides You.

As we think about who we were and what we are now, our heart rejoices, and it gladly sings praises to You. What a wonderful plan You have created, bringing us by Your side, leading us to walk with You and to do what You desire. How will we be besides You in Heaven?

May we never despise Your grace, for by it, we are saved, healed and delivered. With it, we will not lose our battles. Therefore we declare that there isn’t, nor will there ever be, the smallest possibility of failure for Your people. Thank You for strengthening us in Your grace.
