For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh. Romans 8.3

What separated us from God was condemned through Jesus’ flesh, and now, we have been set free forever. This means that never again the person that listens to the Gospel will have to suffer in the hands of evil spirits. Then, since we are not servants of the devil, we do not have to be accountable to him or suffer his silent attacks, for we are no longer bound to sin.

Slavery ended when Jesus took away the authority of the powers of darkness, which had been taken from Adam. Now, a new spiritual reality has come to all people, but they must hear the Good News of the Gospel. This is our responsibility, and it will also be our reward, for it is a noble work. The only thing we must do is to believe in Jesus.

Since we are no longer under the command of the evil one, there is no more punishment on our shoulders, so we do not have to accept his burden. We are firm upon the Word, so we must reject the enemy’s lies, using God’s power. Now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be (1 Jo 3.2).

Whoever does not strive to live in holiness commits a great mistake, because they are choosing transgression and are being trapped by evil, which will make them captive to the devil again. The result will be a powerless life, without works or praise to the Lord. Why should you allow sin to assault you if you can conquer it? God is not against our pleasure; He always wants our well-being.

Sin will never dominate the saved ones again, for they have believed in what Jesus did in their favor. Thus, they have become the lords of everything that concerns them, and have received power to undo the works of the devil. Regardless of their roles in their secular lives, they must fulfill the Lord’s work, because then, they will hasten the return of Christ and will please God.

There are many people who are slaves of perverse demons, who induce them to wicked practices. However, if we rise in the name of Jesus and lead these people to the knowledge of what happened in the Calvary, we will set them free, and in many cases, these people will become holy men and women of the Gospel. God’s glory is in the fact that some who are in the hands of the devil will be helping others out in the future.

The salary of sin is death, but the reward of those who serve the Father is the crown of life, which will be given by our Lord to all who do His will. Examine yourself and see what you have done for the lost. If you have done nothing, start to do so now. The greatest glory that a human being can have is to be used by the eternal God.

In Christ, with love,

Oh God! The work in Calvary was done more than two thousand years ago, but not even half of the world has heard the Good News. Wake us up and make us see our responsibility in regards to the lost.

Through the Law, because of the flesh, man’s righteousness was not possible. However, through His flesh, Jesus condemned sin so that sinners would be set free.

Now, delivered from sin and its consequences, we can raise our voices to praise You, because we are no longer under the direction of evil, but in Your Kingdom of love and power. Amen!
