While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. 2 Peter 2.19

The people that serve the devil have his vile spirit inside of them, and therefore, they are not able to help anyone, even if the wish to do so. The fight for survival for those who do not have faith in Jesus is not easy. The diseases, problems with ill-intentioned and disturbed people, and pressures from the enemy almost make them give up. The oppressed and possessed by the dark forces have an infinitely greater struggle than the saved.

Those who belong to the Most High have the Holy Spirit (Jo 14.26), and even when they are in the border of sin, right in the moment of consummating the act, they turn back and repent, enter the divine presence and weep, asking for mercy. This aspect alone should be enough for people to seek the Lord in order to be freed from the wickedness that is so widespread. There is nothing worse than the pain in the conscience for having done evil to someone.

Whenever in a sad situation, these people may remember the good days in which they were used by God and then try to offer help, but they will not be able to do so, for they are in sin, and the Father will not be able to use them. On the other hand, Satan will do all that he can to hinder these lives to be used against him. The person who knows the Truth, but can do nothing, suffers a lot. The feeling of impotence for those who have been already so much used in the hands of the Most High is very painful.

The slaves of corruption will only be able to help someone if they have the courage to seek the Lord and get things right with Him. When they ask for forgiveness for the sins that they committed and leave the evil way, they will become instruments in the hands of the Most High once again. Those who seek help in a Christian who is in sin are wasting their time. You can tell if a person is being used again by God when he does not ask or insinuate, in any way, that he should be rewarded for any accomplishment.

The life of those who abandoned the heavenly Father is very sad and hurtful. Nothing goes right for them; they are always failing in everything.  There are no doors that can avoid the entrance of demons in the house of these people, and after all, when their time to leave comes, it will be a very painful moment. The saddest thing is that they will walk towards eternal punishment together with the multitude that rejected salvation (Mt 13.42). What a sad end!

Many have gone back to be servants of the enemy, while others are also on their way to serve Satan. They could continue serving He who never abandons His faithful servants (Ps 37.28), but they prefer to live in sin. Instead of the loving embrace of the Lord, they will have the hatred of the ancient serpent. Those who walk away lose their dignity and suffer the destruction in their lives and in their families, without being able to do anything.

Examine how you have lived. Do not let the liar deceive you anymore (Jo 8.44c). Take the noblest decision, and stay far away from the enemy. Choose to be a good person, a servant of the divine justice. Let the plans of the Omnipotent be fulfilled in you, and then, you will not only be fulfilling the divine will, but you will also never be under the guidance of the liar.
