04/05/2018 - SO MOSES DIED THERE

So Moses, the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord.  Deuteronomy 34:5

The path of the human life on Earth is to be born as a defenseless baby, to grow into adulthood age, and die.  Some leave sooner, and, we don’t have a sure reason for all the departures.  However, there are cases where God himself explains to the person, as was in the case of Moses.  He, for having struck the rock twice (Numbers 20:11) – he should have only spoken during the second – he was denied access to Canaan, being permitted only to see it.

It is good that the Bible describes him as a servant of the Lord at the time of his death.  Then, as we see someone being disciplined by the Almighty, we have to be careful not to judge them, saying that this individual got lost.  Honestly, there are many Christians who did not keep the Word sent to them, but this does not result in eternal loss.  Even in death resulting from a tragic accident, do not judge those involved in these circumstances.

Moses died according to what the Lord had said, which always prevails in any circumstance.  Man’s words are not significant or definitive concerning anyone’s destiny; but the decrees of the Almighty are sovereign.  He is holy in all things, and when He saves someone, He shares His holiness with that person.  Even if this soul has sinned greatly, the blood of the Lord Jesus was shed for this person to be washed and cleansed from their sins (Hebrews 13:12).

Moses’ burial was the Almighty’s personal work, and only He knows where he was placed (Deuteronomy 34:6).  Satan challenged the archangel Michael concerning the burial site, for surely the enemy searched high and low seeking the body of God’s servant, but he did not find it.  So then he tried to implicate and accuse Michael, but Michael rid himself from the trap, declaring: “The Lord rebuke you”.

Many people in the world and some of the people of the church interpret death as something sad, which should not happen; nevertheless, the Scriptures say otherwise.  To God, the death of His saved is precious (Psalm 116:15).  No doubt, he assists us in the crucial moment of our passing into the Kingdom of the Spirit.  Those who are not certain of their eternal destiny are fearful, for they fear they might be going to eternal perdition.  Mercy!

Those who are saved and act in accordance to the Word, believe that on the other side the angels are positioned and prepared to take them to the presence of the Lord.  There, those who are faithful will forever be comforted and cared for.  On the other hand, those that resist the call of God, who rejoice in saying He does not exist and even say improper things to Him, feel that they will have no explanation or excuse whatsoever for such wickedness they caused to themselves and to Him as well. Those who have strayed will suffer ahead of time.

Even if you are saved, think seriously about this.  There is a doctrine that sweeps the world: once saved, saved for ever.  But he who endures to the end shall be saved., said Jesus (Matthew 24:13) Will you trust and rely in man’s message or in the Lord’s word?  Be careful not to become lost!

In Christ, with love,

Father!  We praise You for giving us the gift to fear You and preparing us to not fall into eternal loss.  May my readers have full conscience of the Truth and do only what You ordain, for it will be sad to see believers left out of Your Kingdom.

We cannot deny that often times, we allow evil to enter our hearts.  However, we want to live in a way so as not to worry with the great Day.  Waiting on Your Word, we will pass from death to life.  To You be the glory!

You did not promise to do with our remains the same you did with Moses’.  But you declared that we would be resurrected on the last Day.  This is a consolation for us.  We do not concern ourselves with what men say.  Dying or living, what matters most is to be with You.
