18/05/2015 - SO THAT WE SHOULD BECOME HEIRS

That having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3.7

The Lord God had a purpose of making us His children and heirs. However, so that this blessing might occur, He had to redeem us. This act could not have been done by a decree, for the sentence of Adam’s sin was upon us. Therefore, the Most High elaborated a perfect, complete, and final plan in which someone would pay for this fall. However, since there was not even one person who could accomplish such a mission, the Lord sent His only Son to enter through the “door” – maternal birth – and in this way, replace us.

Everything was planned and executed according to God’s desire, without us having to do anything to deserve it. The Almighty paid a very high price to surrender His beloved Son to die in our place, something that the natural man cannot understand the reasoning or His way of deciding. Jesus represented us and carried all our sins and sufferings, and therefore, God can forgive us, heal us, and make us His children.

Our salvation is beyond any mental assent of the Lord in receiving us as children. He bought this right in a complicated and perfect process, in order to redeem us from our failures and give us the guarantee that we will never be separated from Him. As we are recreated in Jesus, our nature is changed, for we are made holy in His Word, washed and regenerated by His Holy Spirit, and become children and heirs of the heavenly Father.

God did not make any savings in washing and regenerating us. He poured over us His Spirit abundantly. Therefore, we can be certain that there is neither sin left in us nor any lacking ability. Now, there is nothing that belongs to the devil in us anymore. When we were recreated, we were remade in Jesus to be used by the Father, just as the Master when He was on Earth. Therefore, face the enemy with the certainty that you will be victorious.

Since the recreation or regeneration was made in Jesus, we do not bring any more defects in our spirit, so we are able to obey everything that He has ordered us. Therefore, do not let Satan deceive you, for there is in you a capability that was given also to Christ. Today, we are blameless in God’s presence, and anointed by Him to achieve victory.

It is sad to see, even in the Christian midst, the enormous ignorance of people concerning what we are in God. One time, a person spoke to me of a picture that a pastor held of a two-year old child, who blessed the pastor. This man declared that he felt blessed, since that boy was pure. I was stupefied with such declaration, for it diminished the miracle of recreation. This is how the weirdest and most evil doctrines appear in church.

Now, there is no one purer than those who have been washed by the blood of Jesus. In our recreation, our record was made clean, discarding all that belonged to the enemy in us. Therefore, we are ready to be used by the Most High, assuming the right of being heirs of God and not strangers and foreigners any longer.

In Christ, with love,

Lord, Author ofour salvation! Thank You for the great work that You have done by giving us redemption, making us completely clean by the blood of Jesus. It was Your good hope and Your incomparable love that made what was unthinkable – surrendering Your own Son to replace us.

How good it is that You have done the work in us through the cleaning and regeneration of Your Spirit. Thus, we will always remember that all the blessings given to us are not a payment of the debt, but Your grace making us beloved in the Lord Jesus, and therefore, we can enjoy Your communion.

It is up to us to act as Your heirs, not as strangers and foreigners. In this faith, boldly, we demand the removal of all the works of the evil one and assume what is ours by right. Thank You for making us Your representatives with authority and power.
