Who have said, “With our tongue we will prevail; Our lips are our own; Who is lord over us?” Psalm 12.4

Not all those who are lost use of arrogance against the Lord, but some are guided by the enemy and end up saying things they shouldn’t, speaking against the Source of Life. Now, why rise up against the Most High, if He doesn’t ask us anything, but only faith? But, unfortunately, rebellion is rooted in the soul of some people. Although they declare that this does not exist in their lives, the truth is quite different. 

To say that there isn’t Someone very intelligent behind the so called laws of nature is to deny the obvious. Just look at the perfection in life, nature and in the creatures that live around us. Would this be the outcome of a simple explosion or of the planning of One who is millions of light years away from us? The more they discover new things around, the closer we come to conclude that the Architect of all of this was very good in what He did. 

Despite the great accomplishments of man, he is finite in himself. However, when man recognizes that the Author of creation wants to make of him much more than he has already achieved and allows Him to do so; then, by going through the process of the new birth and following the others orientations, man discovers that there is much more for his life than he ever thought of or imagined. Those who think they will prevail against God surely don’t know what they are saying. 

We don’t know why there is this stupid arrogance in many people who stand out in life. Wouldn’t it be better to surrender before reality and, thus, manage to rise up and assume their places? This would give them knowledge and power beyond they possess from the human side. Why rise up against the One who is bigger and more capacitated than man? Those who fit in the Lord´s plan are successful. 

Those who affirm that the mouth is theirs, and because of that they speak what they want should reflect. Now, if they hate themselves and wish to get lost forever, that is not God´s problem. But, why not get things right with the One who created all things out of nothing and then, start walking with Him and do so much more for society? If the lips are yours, lend them to the Truth and speak what does good to everyone. 

Offending the Most High is pure stupidity. Being the Source of all things, He certainly knows what we need to live well and do what pleases Him. Without a doubt, this will bring us a great reward. See in the Scriptures what the Father did to keep man in his current position and still give him eternal happiness. One day, we will be before Him, and what will those who don’t recognize Him as God do?

You can’t prevail with your tongue that speaks arrogantly, offending the Lord and refusing to meet His will. God must be elevated over your life, for He will certainly help those He wants to raise, and at the same time, make of that person a copy of Himself. Be strong and don’t let yourself be drifted by some temptation.
