11/06/2017 - THE ANSWER FROM THE LORD

And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 2 Chronicles 20:15

The fact that the Lord has invited us to pray indicates that He wants to answer our prayers – the way through which we get in contact with the Omnipotent, telling Him what we desire according to the promises made to us. We should not cry out without faith, making it impossible for the Most High to answer us. In the most difficult moments it is important for us to use this resource, because this is how our brothers from ancient times acted and were blessed.

Jesus prayed and encouraged us to do the same, but not like men used to do in His days, because they praised the Lord in vain. Whoever teaches or believes in human precepts will never please God. Jehoshaphat feared the great multitude that had gathered against Judah, but, when  he opened his heart to the Lord, followed by men from all over the country, along with their women and children, the Spirit of God acted upon Jahaziel, who brought the divine answer to the people.

When the father answers, He gives the best message; however, it is necessary to pay attention to what He says to prevent possible mistakes or confusions. God speaks the truth and guides us how to proceed, if it wasn’t like that, man would do whatever he thinks is best. The Lord doesn’t have a commitment with the decision a person has made on their own. Only trusts in what the infallible Sovereign speaks, because He has always fulfilled His promises.

The prophets must be found among the holy people who, when praying, will hear the voice of God. They should also have a sound mind, to prevent them from making things up, and only conveying the real message, just like He declared. Whoever adds something to His words will suffer all the plagues described in the Holy Book, and will lose their part in the eternal happiness.

In the days of Jeremiah, there were many prophets in Judah who did not live a holy life, but, even so, prophesied according to the king’s purposes; because of that, they were ashamed. The prophet is not a fortune teller, nor someone who speaks according to the someone’s interests and circumstances. He needs to be a man of God and communicate only what the Lord says. Whoever honors the heavenly Father will be honored by Him.

The Lord has no commitment with those who do not do His work, but only with His servants. Although, apparently, there is no way out for the crisis, the children of God must remain steadfast in the Word. For this reason, the saved person must never fail to say what was told for them to say, for, most certainly, the Omnipotent will honor all of His guidance. When things get difficult and you think there is no way out, stand firm and don’t give up.

On that day, just like in any other gathering of the holy people, there was no place for liars. In the same way, there will never be a place to play with the Lord’s matters. Do not give in to temptations, because it is a fearful thing to fall on the hands of the living God (Hebrew 10.31).

In Christ, with love,

God of prophecy! YoU know all things and at the same time, You take care of Your people as real sheep who do not know what to do. That is why we ask for Your help.

May Your Spirit come upon us, taking us to understand Your will and teaching us how to proceed so that we will not fall on the hands of our adversaries. Then, we will give you the praise You deserve.

Just like Jehoshaphat was found in trouble and cried out for help, we are also facing a horrible crisis. The forces of evil have damaged us, making us stumble and fear the worst. However, because we trust in You, we will walk out of this situation and be successful. Amen!
