Then Pharaoh said to him, “Get away from me! Take heed to yourself and see my face no more! For in the day you see my face you shall die! Exodus 10:28

The Egyptian king could not stand God´s pressure on him any longer. The Lord acted this way in order to delay the Pharaoh´s wickedness against the Israelites. Without a sincere repentance, the king would not be delivered of this intent. Today, those who have done a covenant with the devil can be delivered if they retreat from this evil way, for the Most High says that He doesn’t take into account the errors of the past if there is true repentance (Acts 17:30).

When a person decides to act in a certain way, not even God can change them, because they have free-will. However, if there is repentance, which is a work of the Holy Spirit, they will be able to confess their sins and ask for forgiveness. Thus, the Most High will come into action and will deliver them.

Anyone can be what they want to be, but they must know that they will bear the consequences of their decisions. Now, the Pharaoh was heading to a sad end. In order for the moment where he would allow the Israelites to leave Egypt arrive, his heart was hardened, in order not to rush and go after them and exterminate them.

Now, the king was already upset with Moses and the plagues that afflicted the nation, and so he said: “If I see your face again, you will be a dead man”. The servant of God was now waiting for a divine action, for the Lord had promised to move the Israelites away from the land of sin, and this would be done. In a similar situation, don’t fear, just pray and trust in what the Almighty will do.

It had been more than a year since the Lord had sent Moses to speak to Pharaoh, and the plague began to fall over Egypt. Since God is not mocked (Galatians 6:7), the bad seed that a predecessor of the king planted 80 years earlier would not bear good fruit. They killed thousands of innocent Hebrew babies (Exodus 1:16), and now, all firstborn of the Egyptians would die mysteriously on the same night; however, none of the Israelites would perish.

The truth is that not only were the gods embarrassed, but so was Pharaoh, who claimed to be the son of Ra, the supreme god of the Egyptian pantheon. Ra could not even keep the eldest son of the king; so, once defeated, he allowed the children of Israel to leave for freedom. Those who provoke the Lord are crazy, because how can the creation challenge His Creator? The Omnipotent was at work, and nobody would reverse it (Isaiah 43:13).

After the Hebrew people left, Pharaoh regretted and went after them with his army. When he saw them walking through the depths of the sea, he yelled that it was time to kill them. However, the Lord who went ahead of His people, had now moved to the back end and when the last Hebrew stepped on the other side of the sea, He caused the waters to come back and kill the enemies.

In Christ, with love,

God of vengeance! Nobody mocks You, for all that man sows, this he will reap. It appeared to be that the Israelites were stuck in a corner, but it was actually the end of Pharaoh and his army. They perished in the waters of the Red Sea. You avenged the dead babies.

Those who do not fear You are completely wrong because they are helpless under the order of evil, which also hates them. Why wasn’t history any different? The fact is that one cannot be successful without loving that which is good. Mercy!

For a period of time, Egypt killed the newborn Hebrews. Because they could not bear that the Savior came to rescue them, Pharaoh obeyed the devil, whom he loved, and commanded the tragic decree. But they did not count on that fact that one day You would avenge them all. Amen!
