Judah has gone into captivity, Under affliction and hard servitude; She dwells among the nations, She finds no rest; All her persecutors overtake her in dire straits.  Lamentations1.3

If the people of Judah had answered to the warnings from the Lord, they wouldn’t have gone through bondage. He who doesn’t obey what the Word says in their heart, sooner or later, can be handed to the powers of oppression. It wasn’t only sometimes that the Almighty used His prophets to give the messages, but, since they didn’t care about it, the day came in which Nebuchadnezzar came and took the entire nation to Babylon.

The devil made them distressed as he wanted to. The Almighty warned that this would happen, but they continued to be rebellious. Now, those who were freed and privileged by being called by the Holy name were handing themselves to the enemy. With this, they learned how painful it is to neglect the divine precepts. He who maintains himself rebel to the calling of God, one day, will be sentenced to the eternal supplication. The stubborn will learn that they cannot count on the Lord’s Mercy anymore.

The bondage was humiliating for the descendants of King David. In the days of Jesse’s son, they were leaders of the nations that surrounded, but now, they were slaves of shame in Babylon, where they had no rights nor could worship the Lord freely. They spent a long time as slaves of people who did not believe in the Lord, even knowing that they were lifted to lead and not to be humiliated; however the stupidity took them to this situation.

They acted as stupid people, not seeing anything wrong in their wrongdoings. With this, they sowed rebellion and later on, they reaped bitter fruits. Those who resist to the Lord’s plans will not be any luckier, for the longer they ignore the Lord the longer the Lord will ignore them later on. The Bible teaches that whatever is planted is what is harvested (Gal 6.7), that’s why the luck of those who don’t obey the Lord won’t improve in anything. It’s necessary to examine yourself.

Now, they did not have a homeland or freedom, and those who did not believe in the Lord were their “masters”. The people of Judah left their land to live in the middle of the nations. What could they do? Would they be free one day? Yes, because God had promised so. Is there a possibility of those who have been disapproved in the Final Judgment still reach forgiveness and freedom? The Lord Almighty says no (Luke 16.26). Of the unending torment not one person will leave. Whoever is there will suffer forever.

Many are in sin, stuck to addictions, to prostitution, dishonesty and to other mistakes. For these, there is no rest, just like to the inhabitants of Judah. By their own strength, they weren’t able to free themselves from that powerful empire. Sad and deplorable is the status of those who are lost!

The demons know that all you have to wait for is the day of the final Judgment in order to be with them in the eternal suffering. That’s why, while there is still time, make amends with the Lord. Get close to Him in prayer and confess your mistakes, freeing yourself from all of the sins that you have been doing. Sin separates people from the God, taking them to the everlasting suffering. Today is the day for you to make amends with the Omnipotent.

In Christ, with love,

Merciful God! Like Judah, many are blind with their stupid actions. They act as if they were drugged and walk towards eternal condemnation. They will be scattered in hell and will never leave. Help them free themselves of their perverse actions.

If Your people had only listened to You, they wouldn’t have gone to Babylon. The same will happen to those who don’t wake-up and don’t stop sinning. That they may stop sowing sin, for they will reap everlasting condemnation.

There is nothing more humiliating than slavery. It is a shame, and evil in its essence. You have made us to rise up and be head and not be humiliated. That we may not be stupid, but may we come back to Your arms is what I pray for. Save Your people from eternal condemnation Lord.
